...xplain in here. :)
While we definitely plan to continue releasing our music without asking
money for it from private persons that have internet access, we're also
interested in protecting and commercially distributing it through the
label we're currently building up. Therefore, I got us an ISRC
Registrant Code.
The ISRC contains 12 characters and is built up like this one:

I suppose the ideal would be to have a metadata block to store the
subcode from a CD, and something that could interpret it as CD-TEXT, if
that's what it is. Then it would be possible to

*Dohh* Sorry,.. I've even read that before.... but forgot :(
Anyway,.. perhaps some thoughts about that:
I've read the CUE specification at
http://wyday.com/cuesharp/specification.html .
I'm not sure,.. are the CATALOG and ISRC part of CD-Text or not? (At
least ISRC appears in both, the general section of the specification and
the CD-Text section).
So if it was decided to not include CD-Text data perhaps these two
things should be removed, too. (Or the other CD-Text keywords added,...
of course this would be difficult due...

TAG-mess
...tags. Standard means, they're standard ...
e.g. in players. Those are ARTIST and TITLE, for example - no matter how
diffuse the word "artist" actually is in this context. The tags are
optional, but theoretically you can use every single standard tag in
every single OGG file - even the ISRC tag I requested. It is useful,
because becoming a registrar costs nothing, and although nobody with a
label code really needs it, everybody has it - and it shows who, in what
country, in what year made a specific recording. (Ah, this reminds me, i
wanted to ask the IFPI when they get problems with...

...RNs for the URI attribute. URNs are a
subset of the URI specification. I know there is no way of resolving URNs
as of now. But I do mean they are a much better way to describe a physical
resource than using a URL. A URN says ?what?, where a URL says ?where?. The
x- suffix is present because the ISRC numbering is not a registered URN

It's a simple patch. With apologies to the flac folks, here it is.
Further abcde and cuefile discussions should probably find a new home...
The first two changes add features to the cuefile output, but are not
strictly necessary (regardless, flac will stash the catalog and ISRC
values, if present, so they're not pointless). The last group of
changed lines is what actually converts the PREGAP into an INDEX 00
entry in the cuefile (and appropriately alters subsequent entries).

Archiving CDs w/ Flac on Unix (and subsequent re-encoding)
On a related note, are there any tools which can read the Index information
from a CD and preserve these in some file for later recreation?
The actual TOC on a CD has very little information: just the Absolute Start
Time of each Track. Is there any documentation of the "TOC" file format that
is commonly used? I do not recall coming across anything. Obviously, I am
