ISDN4Linux + Asterisk and Europe
Hello, Anyone on this group using / implementing * and hardware certified for use in Europe ? I believe that ISDN4Linux cards mostly have telecomm certificates, so using them should be safe on the client side. Are there any major issues / problems associated with using such cards with * ? I am talking about a small / very small office with single - few lines. All the best, Piotr Adamiak -- I am updating my DNA...

isdn4linux
Hello All, I was just after a few pointers. I have just setup my Redhat 9 linux box with asterisk. Internal SIP call working fine. My Eicon ISDN card turned up today so - plugged it in and went through the modem.conf. It reports unable to open /dev/ttyI0 The problem is I have never used ISDN with Linux - let alone a telephony app - and I have no idea even where to start. Some pointers

* & ISDN-BRI-PTP & DID & ISDN4Linux does not show incoming number
Hi, I am using Asterisk on a DSS1 ISDN-BRI with ISDN4Linux (and a Fritz Card PnP). The ISDN-BRI is in PTP-Mode (Point to Point "german: Anlagenanschluss") which is enabled within I4L with "hisaxctrl fcpcipnp0 7 1". Everything works fine except that I can not see the called number/MSN of incoming calls within Asterisk and because of th...

some EICON Diva 4BRI questions
...an_capi(-cm) should work better. - For the hardware part there are also 2 choices. Either use the Eicon drivers included in 2.6 and divactrl or use the source packages from eicon and the tools included. Here I'm not sure which method is better. Further I do not know how this is related with isdn4linux or other linux ISDN stuff. From: http://www.eicon.com/support/helpweb/slnxen/asterisk.asp 1. "Ensure that you do not have the ISDN4Linux driver or the HiSax driver installed." What is the ISDN4Linux driver? Is is something generic in Linux or do they talk about a certain ISDN4Linux...

Initializing two ISDN cards in isdn4linux
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello! After LOTS of research on this list and internet in general I managed to get an old Teles PCI card working with Asterisk throught ISDN4Linux. No echos, no delays, simply perfect -- electronic poetry ! :) eheheheheh I just didn't get it to work with CAPI and "chan_capi" but, since isdn4linux is doing such a good job, I'll kept it. However, what I really wanted to do, was to connect TWO of those cards (that I already h...

ISDN (isdn4linux) DDI
...experiences with DDI on ISDN BRI? I would like to order DDI with 10 or 100 numbers from telco company, and use DDI numbers for direct calling SIP/H323 clients. But I don't know if Asterisk supports it, in archive I found only one answer about it, and I'm not sure. I am going to use it with isdn4linux card. Maybe DDI is called differently in other countries, I'll explain - normally customer gets a few (3 or 8 in Slovakia) MSNs for his ISDN BRI line, for example 7895601 (-03). With DDI 100, customer gets number for example 78956xx and he can assign two digits (100 extensions) as he wants. Te...

no audio using isdn4linux channel
...I've successfully got SIP and IAX2 working on Asterisk using X-Lite as a SIP phone and talking to a remote Asterisk over IAX2 using G729. I'm now trying to get an ISDN BRI connection working. I have a Traverse NetJet card (http://www.traverse.com.au/) which I currently have working with isdn4linux (that's how I'm connecting to the Net). I found the a message in the archives (http://www.mail-archive.com/asterisk-users@lists.digium.com/msg32072.html) that says audio support is needed in the hisax driver for it to work. I have this morning downloaded and compiled 2.4.26, making sure th...

isdn4linux delay
...ger (only after a few minutes already, really). To make the problem more fuzzy: I have a user that dials in from the internet and then connects to an outside line via ISDN and according to their claims, the problem occurs less frequently (only every so many calls). Is this a known problem with isdn4linux? Does the Linux capi driver support ISDN cards utilizing Winbond chips? Or do you guys think that changing to capi would not help me in this matter? Thanks in advance, Rene Kluwen Chimit

ISDN4Linux early call progress tones & announcements from the PSTN
Hello, I would like to ask if anyone has solved the problem with Asterisk+ISDN4Linux cards, where there are no call progress tones or announcements from the PSTN when we dial ouot through the i4l card. For the moment, if we don't inject the r option in the Dial command, there is only silence during the call negotiation... Using Asterisk RC2 with Eicon passive PCI 2.01 card....

Where to get libcapi20 ?
Hallo wine-users, I'm new to wine and to this list. During configuration I got the message that libcapi20 could not be found. I did not worry about that, thinking it was an ISDN thing and I don't use ISDN. But now I have to run a Windows application which insists on using libcapi20 :( I have been searching with Google, but not been able to find any sources for it. Could somebody please
