RHEL Un question
...rmanently). I keep finding references to Un (I believe it's up to U5 now) in references to bugfixes, etc for RHEL. I presume (?) these are dot releases after the initial release? Is there anything equivalent for CentOS, or is this RedHat only behavior? yum pinning rpms
...in. Is there a way to instruct yum to ignore this update but accept other updates? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but in spite of many years working with Linux I'm not an rpm/yum heavyweight. I'm sure, however, others may appreciate the answer. TIA, -- Collins When I saw the Iraqi people voting three weeks ago, 8 million of them, it was the start of a new Arab world.... <OT> RedHat support
...stion I've been wondering about. How many of you who have RHEL licenses and paid support licenses have ever needed actually to request support? compaq v2000 laptop
Hi, I have a compaq V2000 laptop. Specs for network say its a realtek 8139/8139C+ NIC. Other distros (namely suse) said there was no problem with this was detected and worked. Mine does not work on either of the 2 V2000 laptops I have. I tried manually loading the 8139cp module then restarting the network and that did not do it. Any ideas? Jerry

CentOS4 upgradeany hangs while loading sata_via
Hi, I have a machine running under CentOS 3.4 which I want to upgrade to CentOS 4. I booted using the CentOS 4 CD1 using "linux upgradeany". Problem is that loading sata_via never terminates. Setting up a simple NAT on CentOS 3.5
Well I think this system is back on 3.5. How do I tell? Have not used it in a while... I need a NAT for some quick testing and this box was available. Only a 6gb drive, so I can't install Astaro (which I have licenses for). So is there a simple way to turn on NATing? Should I upgrade to 4.2? This box is behind a firewall, so security risks are not the issue. This time.
