Internationalisation/Internationalization
Good Morning,
I'm working with a queue at the moment and I having trouble with my
digits.
Australia is my example.
On the tiki it says for international digits, I can dump them in the
"digits/au" directory.
I tried that -- just because, I also made a copy in "au/digits".
When the queue announces the position I it says:
-- Started music on hold, class

Dovecot alternatives with good i18n support?
Hello!
I?m interested in exploring alternative IMAP servers that have good
support for internationalised email, such as support for SMTPUTF8, IDN
mail domains, Unicode local-part, etc. etc.
If you used to use Dovecot, and found an alternative that does such
things well, I would very much like to hear it.
Thank you,

google translate for missing language pages ?
Can we / should we think about using google translate for offering pages
in languages where there is no local translation ?
http://biohackers.net/wiki/GoogleTranslate.py { viewable in a normal
browser } has a plugin for this!

Psssst. The US is asleep - let's talk intern ationalization !!!
And let's also spell things properly! Like 'internationalisation' ...'Weasels have got into your phone system' instead of 'gotten into your phone system...'
And 'please press the hash key..' instead of 'pound key'
There should probably be en_uk, en_us, en_ca, en_za, en_nz, en_oz, en_ie and en_in etc to allow each English-speaking country to localise

UTF-8 to ISO 8859-1 converter
I've got a bug pending for FreeAmp right now where the vorbis metadata
plugin does not handle international characters right. The comments that
are returned from vorbis_comment_query() are in UTF-8, but FreeAmp is
ISO 8859-1. I've been looking for a UTF-8 --> ISO 8859-1 converter that
is available for inclusion in a GPL/LGPL program and is reasonably
small. There are many full blown

[fdo] Lots of wiki content rewritten
Hi,
To try to bring our wiki 'up to date' (as in, no longer talking about
CVS), I've gone through and rewritten a lot of the wiki content for
our main landing pages: our front page, the software and
specifications pages, the infrastructure pages, and even (to an
extent) the mission statement.
A lot of this is trying to describe how we've interpreted these things

[LLVMdev] Bikeshedding commit message policy - Round 3 - Fight!
Folks,
On review http://reviews.llvm.org/D8197, we're basically down to two
bikeshedding issues:
1. Title tags
Some people use "[CSE] Change blah", others use "CSE: Change blah". I
hadn't put anything regarding tags because not everyone use it and
when they do, it's slightly different. I personally don't think it's a
reason to argue about, so I'm in

[PATCH] internationalisation: Replace autopoint infrastructure with libintl-perl
I noticed that virt-v2v, which is written exclusively in perl, failed to
generate virt-v2v.pot. After much head scratching I also noticed that
libguestfs.pot didn't include any messages from perl sources. Some reading of
libintl-perl shows that a somewhat more complicated xgettext command line is
required, as it doesn't understand Locale::TextDomain syntax by default. After a

missing message part in R console
Dear List,
I have compiled R on windows 32bit (v 2.12.2). However, I am not
getting the following line:
"Natural language support but running in an English locale" message.
What would be the reason for this behaviour?

Digits in a different language...
I am having trouble getting the Voicemail app to play some digits in a
different language. I have set up my country code as "mx" (Mexico) and all
sounds start playing in spanish. But when I go to the "2" option in voicemail
I notice the following:
-- Playing 'vm-changeto' (language 'mx')
-- Playing 'vm-press' (language 'mx')

Yes, that's my step following this one, i.e. print the right language
for the current locale when the output is internationalised, and all the
languages in the JSON output.

SMTPUTF8 support
...>
Hello David et al,
I have it working with my set up, and I confirm it is not easy.
If I limit the stack to OpenLDAP, Postfix and Dovecot to their simplest
configuration, it is relatively easy, even with slightly outdated
software in Debian Stretch.
The trick I am using is to include the internationalised email address
aside the main one, and to use Postfix LDAP lookup.
For instance, I am using this LDAP schema:
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-stroeder-mailboxrelatedobject-07
So, my LDAP lookup table for Postfix looks like this:
# Basic LDAP settings for postfix
server_host = ldap://...

SMTPUTF8 support
Andr?, are you quite sure you have it working?
In this thread someone from Open-Xchange stated that no, Dovecot doesn?t
have SMTPUTF8 support implemented, and the same response was given by
another Dovecot developer last September (it ?is being considered? was
the answer then, see
https://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2018-September/112887.html).
I am using LMTP to deliver mail to Dovecot from
