USB keyboard not working? (* Help needed *)
Are there anyone who has a machine on which the *current* version of
SYSLINUX ends up with an inoperable USB keyboard, especially when using
the menu system?
I might have a workaround, but I don't have a system which exhibits the
problem available to me at the moment, and I really don't want to put in
a hack without knowing that it actually does anything...
If you do have such a system, p...

[PATCH v2 1/3] appliance: init: Avoid running degraded md devices
The issue:
- raid1 will be in degraded state if one of its components is logical volume (LV)
- raid0 will be inoperable at all (inacessible from within appliance) if one of its component is LV
- raidN: you can expect the same issue for any raid level depends on how many components are inaccessible at the time mdadm is running and raid redundency.
It happens because mdadm is launched prior to lvm AND it is instructe...

VMware Server 2.0.1 and Centos 5.4
Upgrade to RHEL 5.4's glibc has rendered vmware-hostd inoperable in
some systems. I don't know if Centos 5.4 has the same conflict between
glibc and VMware Server as RHEL (no reason it shouldn't).
If you run VMware Server 2.0.1 make a copy of /lib64/libc-2.5.so (or /lib/libc-
2.5.so) before upgrading to 5.4. If you encounter this problem follow dirkg...

Network inoperable with QEMU arm example image
I am running Fedora 16 64bit and installed libvirt. I have the VM
running with arm emulation with this one issue I can't figure out. I
used Virtual Machine Manager to manage the VM and can access its console
there. The Ethernet appears to be eth1 and the guest can set an IP on
it etc. However, I cannot see any traffic from the Host when dumping
any of the interfaces. I've tried

1.0.rc10 in inetd mode
Hey.. I'm finding that I can force dovecot (setup in inetd mode) into a wedged
state by spamming it with carrage returns. As I've not had enough time to
familiarize myself with the code.. I thought I'd ping the list before 1.0 is
christened.

...t this weekend and see
which version comes with that or if I had gotten it off of
rpmfind.net... I don't remember setting it up...
Any thoughts? I'm sure I need to get the versions of Samba I'm running,
but my ISP, Speakeasy has been fighting with SBC about SBC making my
connection inoperable for the last week... so I can't just ssh in and
get the info...
I'll post a summary following any suggestions or if my own experiments
yield success.

Is there any chance of this for Centos 7, as Evolution is currently
rendered inoperable with iCloud imap.

Status of Q.SIG on Asterisk?
The last post I saw regarding this was June 2003 (before my time with *, I
started in September):
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2003-June/013324.html
Is there any support for Q.SIG in * at all? The Norstar MICS uses a MCDN
(Meridian Customer Defined Network) key to enable the "SL1" protocol which
from everything I've been reading is just Q.SIG. This protocol

Final Fantasy VIII works, but sound choppy.
...In the FullMotionVideos, the whole thing moves in chunks. It works well for
around 5 seconds, then it halts, then it goes on again... Otherwise the
graphics is great. No anomalies in the FMV's and very few in the usual
gameplay.
This is with UseDGA=N (when I tried UseDGA=Y my machine became inoperable).
I haven't tried any 'hacks' to make wine not output all this information
(mostly because I've forgotten what those were ;)) - But overall I'm
impressed to see this work so well. Battled several Bosses and changed disc

SR-IOV: no traffic isolation between VFs with Broadcom 10Gbps cards
...ith PCI passthrough (same kernel,
bnx2x driver and firmware as the host), performance is close to bare metal.
Well, that sounds good, until I start capturing the traffic inside each
VM: host traffic is visible as well as traffic destined to other VM.
It's like if internal card switching was inoperable. I made several
tests with different kernels, different PCIe Passthrough method
assignments for libvirt. All failed.
Has anyone successfully experiment SR-IOV with Broadcom cards on linux ?

...339 2642692+ b W95 FAT32 (music data)

It seems that every usb-linux guide uses the first partition as the boot
partition, on the ipod nano the first partition contains the firmware of the
device rendering it inoperable if it is removed.
After paritioning and formating with "mkdosfs -F 16 /dev/sda3" I copied the
contents of a knoppix cd to the third partition, so with ls I get the
following

Re-joining the Domain
I was wondering if there is an answer to this
challenge or if I just have to live with it? I'm a bit
of a Newbie here. I'm in the process of setting up
Samba -2.2.2 on a Redhat v7.1 (Seawolf) server.
I've discovered that joining the NT Domain is a simple
matter of
smbpasswd -j DOMAIN_NAME
smbpasswd picks up the PDC name from smb.conf
and moves right along. There is no need to

starting newhidups with them connected could leave them inoperable until
they are removed an reconnected. Even if the UPS is not connected

If MGE made a USB hub, the mge_claim function in mge-hid.c would have
the same issue.
