IPP2P

While the ipp2p code is not part of the standard kernel.org distributions, my experience is that it is very easy to install and I would be willing to provide support for it if there is interest. Rails matcher render_template is wrong when using GetText, looking for flexible solution
...9;' response.should render_template("index") end end The result is: SamplesController when requesting /samples - should render index (FAILED - 1) 1) ''SamplesController when requesting /samples should render index'' FAILED expected "index", got "index_en" When I run the application, the template index.rhtml do get rendered (I don''t have any "index_en.rhtml"). The source of this mismatch is that GetText overrides ActionView::Base.render_file, testing each possible localized template path and passes the first existing path t...

Blocking p2p traffic
Greetings, I''ve searched, found ftwall, and some other commercial solutions, but am wondering if anyone on this list has any solutions using a linux firewall to block p2p traffic, more specifically Kazaa. kernel patch for ipp2p 0.6 ?
On the ipp2p web site, on the download section (http://rnvs.informatik.uni-leipzig.de/ipp2p/index_en.html) there is no kernel patch for ipp2p 0.5c or for ipp2p 0.6. Just the source for the iptables module. Is there something missing ? Do I not have to patch the kernel for 0.5c or 0.6 ? jnk _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list / LARTC@mailman.ds9a.nl http://ma...

the large dataset problem
...ny suggestions? I've read that I should "carefully vectorize my code." What does that mean ??? !!! The "Introduction to R" manual suggests modifying input files with Perl. Any tips on how to get started? Would Perl Data Language (PDL) be a good choice? http://pdl.perl.org/index_en.html I wrote a script which loads large datasets a few lines at a time, writes the dozen or so variables of interest to a CSV file, removes the loaded data and then (via a "for" loop) loads the next few lines .... I managed to get it to work with one of the SIPP core files, but it's...

small netwok traffic shaping
Hi, First of all I must say that I''m a newbie in the network adimistration domain. I have the following situation: a network composed of ~10 computers which are connected to the internet through a gateway. The connection speed is 128kbps for the addresses outside my country, and 10mbps for the addresses in my country. I would like to set-up a traffic shaper on the router machine with

'diskinfo' problem with eSATA device (initio 1611)
Hello, for quick harddrive tests (SMART, noise, backup etc..) I bought a very nice "docking" station connected to my ICH9 SATA controller (http://www.sharkoon.com/html/produkte/externe_gehaeuse/sata_quickport_pro/index_en.html) I can read/write to inserted disks, also smartctl works, but my favourite test doesn't run: diskinfo -t /dev/ad10 returns: ioctl(DIOCGMEDIASIZE) failed, probably not a disk.: Inappropriate ioctl for device The eSATA bridge is a initio 1611 chip. I have another external SATA enclosure a...

FXO Gateways
Does anyone have any experience with the Audiocodes MP-108 FXO gateway? I'm looking to get one for incoming PSTN lines. In particular, does it pass caller ID information to Asterisk? I currently have a Mediatrix 1204 but Caller ID does not work, even though the specs say it does. All it sends are the names of the ports set up internally on the gateway (ie. "pstnline1" etc) when

Ingress shaping using IMQ
Hello people, This the first time i post in list. I read the lartc how-to and decided that IMQ with HTB was the solution to solve my problem. The ingress shaping i want is simple, shape the traffic to my ftp-server, i just want to give 8kbps to each client because they only upload to my ftp-server, and i dont want to any class borrowing, each client only send(upload) at 8kbps, not above this
