Custom Extension halting execution upon caller hanging up
Hello, list! I'm having some trouble with A@H 2.7(?), Asterisk 1.2.5, inasmuch as my custom extension is not continuing execution when the caller hangs up. (Please excuse the sterilized output.) Here's how it's supposed to go: exten => 2,8,Monitor(wav,${TIMESTAMP}) exten => 2,9,Dial(SIP/Provider/8005551212) exten => 2,10,Macro(record-cleanup) If the call...

No previous kernel in the bisection exercise caused anything of the like. I'd be happy to try out any and all patches proposed, and as for the physical card, this is the relevant part: 02:00.0 VGA compat...

Identifying host OS in an ENC
Hi all, We have a mixed Linux and Windows environment and have so far just been using Puppet on our Linux servers. Having configured the inventory service, we''ve got an auditing script that uses the data to report on things like OS version, RAM, etc. This is all so nice that we''d like to extend it to auditing our Windows infrastructure. However, at this point in time, we have

Puppet environments vs App environments
I''ve setup dynamic environments using git but I''m confused about how environments are actually supposed to be used. We''re a small ISP and have freeradius servers, VPN servers and web servers. I''ve been using environments to enable me as the sysadmin to build and test new manifests/modules before deploying them to our production servers. I have dedicated

syslog question
...es doing anything on the box near impossible with the firewall running. I did a man syslog.conf, and then looked in the /etc/syslog.conf. I commented out the xconsole stuff, and uncommented the part where he (joey) says he likes to output to /dev/tty8 (which is what I want to do as well). It works inasmuch as it sends the data to /dev/tty8 - but it keeps sending it to every other tty as well! I do not want to be a pain, but could someone _please_ send me a copy of their /etc/syslog.conf that enables the turning off of the logging to the tty1-7, so I can get some work done with the firewall on! Thank...

Mis-matched braces in Rd files (PR#1019)
This is related to the wishlist item 856 that Paul Gilbert submitted. If there's a missing closing brace, a whole section can silently disappear. It would be nice if the help parser (or CHECK) checked for matching braces in help files, and reported an error when they don't match over the whole file, or when one section is started within another one. For example: \name{test}

popular R packages
I would like to get some idea of which R-packages are popular, and what R is used for in general. Are there any statistics available on which R packages are downloaded often, or is there something like a package-survey? Something similar to http://popcon.debian.org/ maybe? Any tips are welcome! ----- Jeroen Ooms * Dept. of Methodology and Statistics * Utrecht University Visit

[RFC] One or many git repositories?
...tually affected in the way you describe, rather than just considering the hypothetical. My expectation is that the effect of the monorepo on said developers would be relatively small -- we're talking about 1gb of disk space. I understand that there's a "yuck" factor to this, but inasmuch as there aren't other concrete effects, this is just change aversion. And essentially all of the other effects of the monorepo can be hidden via sparse checkouts, as we've discussed. Maybe I am wrong. But I don't think we're going to get to the bottom of it without actually engag...
