Zaptel FXO offhook when connected to PSTN

Modem Calls
My office is investigating using an Asterisk PBX and also going to a VOIP
provider for our main phone connections, but one of the tricky things is that
we need to have outbound and inbound modem calls (fax too).
I see a lot of talk about faxes but no mention of modems on this list. I get
the impression that modems will be a problem for us. Is that true?

board.

All channels on PRI stuck "Resetting"

In the end I discovered that all the channels on the span have "PRI Flags:
Resetting". For example, "zap show channel 25" gives:

Doesn't finishes callerid spill
...eased to near about 5700 < 8867 and suddenly control gets
in zt_handle_event function in a switch case statement and cancells
the callerid spill and continues.

Hylafax asterisk iaxmodem problem

SAngoma told me that the asterisk problem is unrelated to wanpipe drivers,
they told me to reinstall asterisk again
But, i still having doubts about the problem :(

DAHDI and Analogue lines (UK)
Have an intersting issue whem migrating a site from Zap on 1.3 to DAHDI on
1.4.. Nothing special about the hardware - older TDM400 card, 2 red
modules fitted...
Both channels work fine under 1.2/Zaptel. With 1.4/DAHDI both channels
still work OK, but only for one line - the 2nd line causes it to refuse to
dial-out no matter which port it's plugged into.
The Lines are bog-standard BT
