ZFS and IBM SDD Vpaths

Axe time of series in format yy-mm-dd
I'm trying to plot a ibm stock time series. I made the download of that series, ibm <- get.hist.quote(instrument = "ibm", start = "2003-01-01",quote=c("CL")) And ibm is a serie wiht this characteristic: Start = 37623 End = 37960 Frequency = 1 When I try to plot it, ts.plot(ibm) In the graphic the axe time is represented by 37623 ... 37960, How can I put

Sweave Dynamic Graph Question
i have a time Series of IBM closing px from 1/1/2000 to today I want to graph the time serie by dividing the graph by year and month all the monthly graphs with the same year will go to one page. so from 1/1/2000 to 11/19/2010. i will have 11 pages, and each page will have 12 graphs (jan to dec) except for 2010. I am able to do it in R, but when i use sweave, I can only print the last page.

I've been using R for a while, but now find myself needing to understand time-series objects for a short course I am teaching. I am putting together some daily financial datasets for illustration, but having some trouble in aggregating the data to months or weeks. I am getting a "cannot change frequency from 1 to 12" message. I am not sure that aggregation is where I want to go

Using string to call/manipulate an object
I am using getSymbols function from quantmod package to get price data from internet. Currently I have: my.ticker <- "IBM" getSymbols(my.ticker,src="google") This creates an xts object named my.ticker which contains historical price data for IBM. How can I call and manipulating this xts object using my original string my.ticker? I want to do: colnames(my.ticker) <-
