I have hundreds of the 'smb -D' processes over several days

Hundreds of auth-worker sockets in /etc/dovecot
I run dovecot 1.2.6, before last update I had 1.2.2. on Debian Lenny. I
noticed that my config directory /etc/dovecot is filled up with hundreds of
old auth-worker.12345 sockets. I guess they should have been cleaned up, is
there a misconfiguration? When I remember right, this did not happen with
dovecot 1.1.

How to generate same type of graphs using the previously written commands for a few hundred similar data sets?
I have a few hundred of data sets which are within one data file, I need to
first of all take the subsets of each data set, and I've written commands to
generate a graph and csv file. Then I want to generate the same type of
graphs and csv files for the rest of the data sets. I wonder if there's a
command in R...

Firefox and IE performance with Rails App
...lems.
There were certain pages that were exceptionally slow, even to the point
of timing out. Other computers did not have a problem. I finally found
that Firefox was the difference. When using Firefox on those computers
it works fine. The slow pages were typically posting a form with a
couple hundred fields.
This behavior was the same with the rails server running on Windows,
Ruby 1.8.2, Apache2, FastCGI and also on Linux, Ruby 1.8.4, Lighttpd,
FastCGI.
Any ideas what would cause this?

- the to_dollars method will work with integers and floats
- the to_english and to_japaneese methods will only work with integers.
If you have call these methods on a float, it will be converted to an

format numbers as words
Does anyone know if there is a function available which can format any
entered number as words?
eg: ''1234'' would be ''One Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty Four''
In the past, I would have said this is a tall order, but from what I''ve
seen with playing with rails for a short time, I don''t know what to
expect. :)
Thanks for any help,
Damien

Linux Samba server mounts hundreds of filesystems
...e a specially hacked kernel that allows upward of 7000 mounts, the
mount table fills up and messes up the automounter. This is not a Samba issue.
I would like some pointers as to how to identify the command(s) users are
running on the Windows side that causes this on our Linux Samba server. We have
hundreds of Samba clients and increasing the debug level for all does not
seem the way to go. I am also not sure as to which the suspect clients are
to zero in on them.
Any thoughts or suggestions as to how to proceed with the debug, what log level to set,
and what strings to look for in (which) log files...

[LLVMdev] [PROPOSAL] ELF safe/unsafe sections
...ible run of bytes. A compiler generated function naturally matches that and should be an atom. The problem is that a hand written assembly code could look like it has a couple of functions, but there could be implicit dependencies (like falling through to next function).
If an object file has a hundred functions, that means there will be a hundred more sections (one per function). So, if we used -ffunction-sections to determine that an object file was compiler generated, we still have the problem that an assembly language programmer could have hand written extra sections that look like -ffunct...

I am struggling from a data importing issue:
I have some hundreds of csv files needed to be read into R for futher

I intend to use read.csv("xxxx_xxx.csv") but I only dealt with
