Hi, I have a RedHat7.3 distro running Samba-2.2.3a. I've never had this problem before 2.2.x versions of samba. I'm using domain security and sharing 2 printers, an HP4050 and Ricoh. Everyone can print fine except that, seemingly randomly, printjobs end up in the queue as paused (according to winXPpro and Win98). Nobody can unpause or delete them. I have a problem I hope someone can help with. I have TLS 6.0 set up to provide print services to Win98 clients using samba. There are two printers, an HP LaserJet 4050 and an HP DeskJet 950C, both attached to separate JetDirect 170 print servers. The HP4050 works wonderfully, no problems at all. The 950C doesn't work. Hi, I am running samba and lprng for 4 hp laserjets. Sometimes a samba print job goes to the wrong printer. Normally everything works just fine. Shown below is the lprng acct log file enries for the concerned print job. Please notice that the print job was supposed to go to hp4050-mail, but ended up in hp8100. ...the windows drivers, when i log on as a print-admin and i start a wizard to upload the drivers for the printers some time it works others no, currently only if the printer is a laser printer it does work if are ink-jet it doens't. Actually i been able to install the drivers only for HP1100 and HP4050 printers, i need to install them also for some HP500 DesignJet A0 plotters and HP1700D printers and other Ricoh multi pourposes 'metal-plastic assembly'.
