Unsetting Global Vars
How do I clear a global variable for good? I have a situation of needing to use global variables to aide in channel communication, but will be changing the name within a defined scope. Additional Background... I want to get a variable from a channel (child) that is created by another channel (parent), however the execution of the parent channel does not continue until the child channel is gone.

Queue Log
Hello everyone, This is is my first email to this group. I'm am writing a small php program to pull some info out of our Asterisk's queue_log. I'm having trouble figuring out what some of the parameters mean. Here's an example: 1118098465|1118098465.47|salesq|NONE|ENTERQUEUE||"Ray Balbin 25" <(716)250-3405> I found a doc that tells me about everything from

Queue reporting seems broken.
I am trying to figure out which one of our agents is answering the calls. According to http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+log+queue_log the only time the queue_log puts the channel (agent) is during logoff & logon. There is the connect & completeagent message, but it doesn't show which channel (agent) answered the phone. I can't even figure it our cross referencing the

Queue reload
I've noticed that when app_queue.so is reloaded(or just a reload command is used) that all queue members that were paused are automatically unpaused. Is there a workaround for this? (Note, I use statically defined callback agents). --johann

system freezes with ext3
Hello, I investigated newsgroups and mailinglists for aprox. 3 weeks now. But i have not found any comment about ext3 freezing a whole system. But: I do have 5 ext2 partitions on my system. I upgraded theses partitions to ext3 with tunefs. after mounting 1 partition as ext3 all was fine. After that i mounted all partitions as ext3. And, after approx. 3-4 minutes my system freezes. No mouse or

queue stats
Hello all, I need to write a queue_log parser that is going to implement more or less the functionalities described here http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2003-July/014965.html of course not everything from scratch, but this is where I'd like it to go. I am looking for - previous work (maybe it's ready somewhere and I've never heard of it) - suggestions -

Polycom Call Parking
Has anyone gotten the call parking soft button on the polycom phones(specifically the IP 600) to work with call parking that asterisk provides? If so what configuration changes were needed? --johann

dialplan logic, logical not
In the dial plan, with GotoIf...is there a way to do a logical negation(NOT)? I want to check if the year is a leap year and the below code is how I would write the check in C. According to the wiki there isn't a logical NOT as a valid expression. From reading the asterisk/docs/README.variables, this seems to be missing. int year = 2005; if ( (year % 4 = 0) && !(year % 100 =

PRI deadlock problem is 1.2.1
I thought this problem with PRI and channels getting out of sync was fixed in the 1.2.x release of Asterisk. Detecting Agents and Chanspy
Is it possible to detect if a specific agent is on a call? I can check ${AGENTBYCALLERID_${AGENTID}} to see if they are logged in(ie if set they are), but I want to be able to detect if they are actually on a call. The ChanIsAvail() doesn't seem to work for Agent channels. I want to do this from within the dialplan. Also it is possible to alter the format that ChanSpy() records in? It

Agents and Chanspy
I would like to use chanspy and restrict it to Agent channels. Then setup it on an extension for the supervisor to monitor people taking calls from the queue and making outbound calls. Is there a way to use the agent channel with outbound calls? I don't want to record the calls(which AgentMonitorOutgoing seems to do), just kinda flag them so that they can be spyed upon. Any kind odd

Callback Agents and Dial 'g' option
I'm unable to get the Dial option 'g' to work with callback agents. The plan is to use it so that I can redirect a customer to a menu so they can rate the call they just had with the agent. However, when the agent hangs up the call does not continue in the dialplan. I login with the agent. Call joins the queue. The agent and call get connected. The agent hangs up and the call

Odd SIP error message
As of late, I keep seeing a very odd error message in Asterisk and regardless of how much debugging or verbose I set I can't get more detailed info to find out what exactly is causing the error. It's every few seconds and in no regular pattern either. Jun 23 05:24:17 NOTICE[29057] chan_sip.c: SIP: Received packet with bad UDP checksum Jun 23 05:24:18 NOTICE[29057] chan_sip.c: SIP:

Polycom and CallerID
I'm having a problem with the callerID that the polycom IP600 phones are displaying. I would like to modify the CIDName and leave CIDNumber as exactly what the phone call came in as(provided they aren't hiding callerID). Most of the calls will be going to the queue, but a few will go directly to the SIP phones. I've done a various combinations of using SetCallerID(),

C-Code in R (running Windows)
Hello, I need to include C (or C++)-Code in R. I'm searching for a tutorial, how to do this. It is only a very small algorith (one function). Using google, I read somethig about including dll-Files and so on (on windows). Is there no possibility to include a C-File directly?!? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/C-Code-in-R-%28running-Windows%29-t1205196.html#a3182004
