Bug : Autocorrelation in sample drawn from stats::rnorm (hmh)
Hi Hugo,
I've been able to replicate your bug, including for other distributions (runif, rexp, rgamma, etc) which shouldn't be surprising since they're probably all drawing from the same pseudo-random number generator. ?Interestingly, it does not seem to depend on the choice of seed, I am not sure why that is the case.
I'll point out first of all that the R-devel mailing list is

Automatic blacklisting.
Hi,
Is there any way to automatically block all traffic from IP''s that try
more than X number of blocked ports for a preset amount of time?
The log I get every morning seems to be getting bigger and bigger with
port scans and attempts to access various services, it would be nice if
these IP''s could be automatically blocked for like a week or two..

messages_count too large (2578 > 2566) Help!
Hi,
I'm having trouble as of about noon today. I noticed I wasn't getting
any new messages in Thunderbird. I restarted it and still nothing. I
looked at the log, and found nothing from dovecot for a long time (since
perhaps noon today). I restarted dovecot, but still it didn't get me
new mail. I finally removed dovecot.* in my Maildir folder and
restarted dovecot. I'm

[PATCH 4/4] p2v: virt-p2v-make-disk: prevent daemons to run on Debian
...ound, use a temporary policy-rc.d policy layer [1]: give an
error code so no daemon is ever started at any point of package upgrades
and installation. The script is removed at the very end of the
building, so the final image will spawn daemons just fine when booted.

well, now that I have moved to dovecot, I'm not getting any spam... in fact, I'm
not getting e-mail at all.

replicator process
Hello Timo,
2.2rc3: replication unconfigured (no "replica" in doveconf -n output),
# doveadm replicator status
starts the dovecot/replicator process, which keeps running, leading
to "sync: User has no mail_replica in userdb" errors for each user every
5 minutes.
Same after "doveadm replicator replicate some-even-nonexisting-user".

Doveadm director flush/remove
I've got a couple more issues with the doveadm director interface:
1) If I use "doveadm director remove" to disable a host with active users,
the director seems to lose track of users mapped to that host. I guess I
would expect it to tear down any active sessions by killing the login
proxies, like I'd done 'doveadm direct add HOSTNAME 0 && doveadm director

today I checked out a new copy of Dovecot (and LDA) from CVS:

I could compile them, but my findings follow:

I copied dovecot-lda below CVS_ROOT/dovecot, the first make attempt failed

Generally it helps to read the error.log to see what is happening.

hmh? Can you be more specific about how I can reproduce this here? This
sounds like a possible bug.

[PATCH 0/4] p2v: fix virt-p2v-make-disk on Debian
Hi,
this small series fixes the generation of Debian-based images using
virt-p2v-make-disk. With this series, the image can boot fine, X is
started, and the p2v interface appears. I haven't tried an actual
conversion, but I don't think there are Debian-specific problems
preventing that.
Thanks,

rc15 dumped core
We have been running rc15 since Sunday experiencing no trouble,
but today one user crashed.
rc15 on Solaris-5.9, the server had app 6GB free memory at the time
of the crash, app 70% idle running with an avg.load at 4 of 8
processors available. The USER's INBOX was quite smooth, app 13MB
containing 320 messages.
The core dump was accompanied with these log-entries:
