Incoming fax detection on mISDN hfcmulti B410P card
Hi,
I'd like to know what's the most "popular" method for automatic fax/voice detection for incoming calls on mISDN cards such as the B410P (hfcmulti).
I'm running:
kernel 2.6.17
misdn 1.1.3
asterisk 1.4.21.2
B410P card
I'm using iaxmodem and hylafax with asterisk (the setup works for zap channels).
I've used the following options in /etc/asterisk/misdn.conf:
[MY-ISDN]
context=isdn-custom
ports=1,2,3,4
msns=*

Asterisk 10/1.6.1 and Dahdi/Libpri compatilities in BRI /PtmP
...:01:0e.0: new card sync source: port 1
and "pri show spans" mostly (but not always) report worrying status:
PRI span 1/0: Down, Active
PRI span 2/0: In Alarm, Down, Active
On the first box "pri show spans" constantly reports the line is up.
On thing to note is I had to forbid hfcmulti in modprobe.d in the
second box to comply with a warning from dahdi. Without that, I could
see this line in the output of lsmod:

Hi,
a few month ago, I tried to install zaptel for my Beronet BN8S0 pci card... I
gave up and took hfcmulti/lcr. Now dahdi (2.2.1.1) seems to support the card
and I'm very interested to get it to work.
But how to get rid of these annoying qozap driver?

My questions: why Asterisk doesn't want to let me activate the misdn
channel? Is misdn ready for 1.4?
Thanks for any hint

Hi,
I have a Digium B410P 4-port BRI card.
I installed misdn 1.1.3 with hfcmulti driver and
misdnuser 1.1.3.
I configured the card "correctly" as misdnportinfo
reports:

Problem installing B410P BRI card for asterisk
Dear all,
I know this is more a Digium hardware than an Asterisk issue. Already
posted a question at Digium, however also like to see whether anyone in the
Asterisk community has encountered the following situation:
I installed a Digium B410P BRI PCI card on my new asterisk server,
following the steps specified in the manual. I can see the PCI card is
available using the lspci command:

is loaded with option:

and the fourth port is connected to an ISDN PTMP (MSN) port.
Call to #72 from S0 (BN port 4) are not accepted from asterisk but why ?
Can anyone give me a hint ??

echotraining=yes in misdn.conf is invalid or out of range.
Hi.
I'm having problems with chan_mISDN configuration. Line
"echotraining=yes" causes warning, when Asterisk is parsing misdn.conf
and I'm confused why the PBX doesn't accept the setting. No matter
which section I try to offer it, it is always invalid or out of range.
The setting itself is supposed to be valid, it is in the sample
configuration file of chan_mISDN 0.3.1.

Digium B410P: misdn v1 or misdn v2 or dahdi + asterisk 1.6 ?
Hi,
Until now I've been using my Digium B410P cards with misdn 1.0.x.
I would like to upgrade my systems and am now wondering which is the "best" route to take:
- use the latest release of misdn v1
- upgrade to the latest "stable" kernel and use the built-in misdn v2
- use misdn v2 as a seperate package (disable misdn in the kernel)
- use dahdi's support for misdn
