core dumped messages from tune2fs
...ext3. My kernel 2.4.15p9.
I downloaded and build util-linux-2.11m
and e2fsprogs 1.25.
I compiled ext3 in the kernel.
I started converting my filesystems and thing went ok for the first few.
I then started getting the following on each additional filesystem.
[root@joker /root]# tune2fs -j /dev/hdc4
tune2fs 1.25 (20-Sep-2001)
Creating journal inode: done
This filesystem will be automatically checked every 20 mounts or
180 days, whichever comes first. Use tune2fs -c or -i to override.
File size limit exceeded (core dumped)
Here is where I started.

HELP - RAC Cant fsck bad superblock

nodes , then the openfiler appliance, when I went to start it back up,
openfiler complaining about "Inconsistent filesystem structure "
This system has been restarted several times previously with no issues
So, I get on the openfiler server in rescue mode
the partition is /dev/hdc4 id =8e LVM
essentially, Im trying to fsck the mappings in /dev/mapper/mydevice
this was created by running
lvm pvscan
lvm vgscan
lvm lvchange -ay
lvm lvscan
ie fsck -nv /dev/mapper/mydevice

A small DIY test for 2.4.7 and 0.9.4
...sometimes my /usr/local partition for ext3 testing:
/dev/hdc2 3842408 738176 2909044 21% /usr/local
For my DIY testing, I am timing this trivial script which
copies, decompresses and deletes the compressed source 2.2.17
kernel of 17563583 bytes (17M). The source partition
/dev/hdc4 885468 792616 47872 95% /incoming
is on the same disk.
