XFS vs. ext3
(Sorry for cross-posting; I'm not on either ext3-users or
linux-xfs, but I thought both lists might find this interesting.
CC me with any replies or questions. Thanks.)
(The last four paragraphs contain the interesting bits.
Basically, XFS hath kick-ed the *ss of ext3 under conditions
that are, for our company, critical.)
Some listees might be interested in some testing I did the other
day, XFS vs. ext3.
In our last IMAX film project, right at crunch time, we were
getting a whole bunch of dropped frames during compositing. Our

icecast switches to another stream when stream ends
Hi!
i have the following problem: two different streams
are running on two different mountpoints; one ends,
the other continues. when i listen to the stream which
ends (i use mpg123), and the stream stops, then i have
a break of a few seconds, and then the music continues
and i hear stream two. mpg123 does not disconnect.
But i want mpg123 to disconnect and to stop
completely. Which

Wine running on Solaris?
Hi guys,
has any of you succeeded in compiling and running Wine under Solaris 8?
If so, which version?
Actually, I've ran through compilation (which itself was uneasy and a bit
tricky) but can't run a single application because most of them ends with
message like:
err:seh:EXC_DefaultHandling Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0
addr dfa4d914
or:

[PATCH] ocfs2: Update atime in splice read if necessary.
We should call ocfs2_inode_lock_atime instead of ocfs2_inode_lock
in ocfs2_file_splice_read like we do in ocfs2_file_aio_read so
that we can update atime in splice read if necessary.
