Bonzai 3D - SketchUp with nurbs
Hi, I use SketchUp under wine and it runs really well, so first off many thanks to all those here who helped make that happen. Recentlly I've been looking for a SketchUp-ish app which can handle nurbs, and Bonzai3D appears to fit the bill. However, although though it currently runs under wine, menu icons are invisible. I am neither wine nor Bonzai competent, (under the hood), but if

MYOB
I am trying to get a Windows application called "MYOB" (Mind Your Own Business - an Australian business accounting program) working with wine. It almost works.. selecting the sample company works good with all the functions, but when trying to selecting a particular data file it fails with the following: err:win32:fixup_imports No implementation for shlwapi.dll.0(StrRetToBufA) imported

WINE doesn't exit completely
Hello all and thank you for all the great tips in the past. My current problem (among other personal ones I won't discuss here) is that when exiting Notes R5 under WINE, the wineserver and the actual "wine --managed notes.exe" processes continue to exist. 2724 pts/1 S 0:00 wine --managed notes.exe 2726 ? S 0:17 wineserver Notes runs very well except for this.

snowfall: sfExport apparently harmless error
I'm running my script using mpirun -mp 4 and using snowfall+Rmpi on Linux 64bits. I receive the following error, but apparently without consequences on the results. Any idea? I'm able to reproduce it with a minimal script (below). Seems the critical issue is the for loop. Without it no error. Thanks for your help! TERM: Undefined variable. TERM: Undefined variable. Lots of NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_COLLISION errors, harmless?
Hello all, I'm attempting to setup a small Windows network using Samba as the PDC (and the only server involved). Clients are running Windows 7 (x86_64) and the server is running Debian Squeeze with samba 3.5.6. For now I'm just using tdmsam as the passwd backend. The problem I have is that I see lots of errors involving NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_COLLISION, here's an example at login

3.0.24 weird errors, harmless?
A couple weeks ago I upgraded my servers from 3.0.14a to 3.0.24. My main server generally has about 800 to 1200 people connected to it at any given time. Its a Solaris 8/Sparc system, samba is configured as security = domain . Everything seems to be functioning fine, I haven't noticed any odd behavior, haven't had any complaints. But, a few weird errors have got me concerned. 1) I

almost, but not quite, works perfectly
Hi, we have this windows application developed internally to keep track of trouble tickets for the IT people. Since I mostly work in the unix/linux environment it would be very nice to be able to use this application with wine. Here is a summary of what i've done so far: installed Wine-20011226.tar.gz copied the program dir from a windows box. Ran the exec (wine Aruser.exe) and recieved

wine and jack => segfault?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I am new to this list and just wanted to ask a question regarding Wine and JACK: I'm running JACK as my sound daemon and today I installed Wine (from the APT-Repository). I setup my .wine directory with the help of winetools. So far everything works fine, except sound output (tested with wmplayer and a simple wav file). So I selected

valgrind complains about regex.c (PR#8043)
I think I am using objects according to the man page. This seems to be a valid regular expression. But whether I know what I'm doing or no, it still shouldn't be doing what valgrind seems to be saying it's doing. Patching openssl rpms
Running CentOS release 5.5. I'm trying to update or patch an SRPMS file, specifically openssl-0.9.8e-12.el5_4.6.src.rpm. Basically, I'm trying to change one line in the source, in ssl/ssl.h. I create a "diff ?u" file called openssl-ssl-h.patch. I then edit the openssl.spec file, and add 2 lines to that in the appropriate place: Patch88: openssl-ssl-h.patch And
