Program Files Folder in Wine
...g, but I cannot get Wine to run anything under the Program Files folder. It gives me the error message that it cannot find C:\Program (it's as if the space between Program and Files stops it). I have tried eliminating the space in both the folder name and in the command line. Nothing works. GRRRRRR I am trying to install Final Fantasy XI using Ubuntu 8.10 and Wine 1.1.13 (updated to this this morning, before updating it wouldn't install at all) Also, I am following the step by step HOW TO that I found here. Thanks for any and all help.

cupsaddsmb - why the heck can't I get rpcclient-addprinter to work?
I can't seem to get the rpcclient-addprinter to work - grrrrrr It looks like the drivers files are copied correctly and the NT drivers are added correctly but the addprinter command says it's unsuccessful! rpcclient localhost -N -U JOHNSON\\root -c 'enumprinters' shows the printer!! What's going on? I've tried removing /var/cache/samba/...

IntrusiveRefCntPtr vs std::shared_ptr
...ther) to .bc with clang, and then ran llc on it. I tried it on both Ubuntu 16.04 x64 and on an Odroid XU-4 ARM board. with very similar results. I made a tiny library with a 1 GB static char array. I made a malloc() that simply bumped a pointer (prepending a 32 bit object size, just for realloc(), grrrrrr kill it with fire), and a free() that is an empty function. There's a calloc() that calls the above malloc() and then memset(). And a realloc() that is a no-op if the size is smaller, or does malloc(), memcpy() if bigger. Then I used LD_PRELOAD to replace the standard malloc library with mine....

Re: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #2120 - 14 msgs
In response to the postings by Andrew Kohlsmith and Ernest W. Lessenger: Andrew, I modified the exten line in extensions.conf as you suggested. Unfortunately, It still does not work... Ernest, I spent approx. 4 hours reading list archives (and anything else Google served up) on how to configure iax.conf and extensions.conf to work with Voicepulse. Then, I sent an email to voicepulse

my centos switched alone its root fs to read-only
My test server was in very eavy load, running kolab's components: postfix, cyrus-imap and openldap A second test machine was sending, and reading emails as fast as it can. The CPU was never idle ! I left the server at about 17H30 and at 22H I find it "uncommitted" (difficult to work when the partition in read-only !) However the mount command report it as RW ! The /boot is still RW

IntrusiveRefCntPtr vs std::shared_ptr
why llvm contains IntrusiveRefCntPtr instead of using only std::shared_ptr? IntrusiveRefCntPtr widely used in llvm and clang source code. Due to better performance? for example in main func of clang frontend: int cc1_main(ArrayRef<const char *> Argv, const char *Argv0, void *MainAddr) { ensureSufficientStack(); std::unique_ptr<CompilerInstance> Clang(new CompilerInstance());

SPA-962 & Asterisk
Good Day, I have been tasked with fixing the time on our asterisk server. I am having a hard time finding documentation to tell my what asterisk uses to get its time information to push to phones (or a better question, where does the SPA-962 get its time information)? Basically, I can go under the settings of the phone and change the offset to set the correct hour, but it is still about 4

[OT] Corporate Firewall
Hey, The company I work for is in the market for a new firewall. Right now we're hosting all of our own stuff (on CentOS servers) behind an old checkpoint firewall. I think Checkpoint is overkill for our needs and very expensive, plus I don't like the "per-user" charges of some commercial solutions. What do you guys suggest that we upgrade to? Here are some of the
