Father of Groom Speech and Toast - How to Input Hu
Father of groom speeches which bring about laughs in the faces of people listening are thought of to be one of the greatest things in attending any wedding affair. All weddings are understood as time for enjoyment. The joining of two hearts by means of wedding rituals also implies the unification of two families. And so, the best way to make the wedding a lot more special is presenting a father of

Error distribution question
Hello there, I was wondering if somebody could offer me some advice on which error distribution would be appropriate for the type of data I have. I'm studying what continuous predictor variables such as grooming received, rank, etc. affect the amount of grooming given. This response variable is continuous with many zeros, and so positively skewed. So I can't use gamma because of the zeros and since poisson is for count data I would probably loose lots of info when converting my data to integers. I...

Error when Eager Loading "Not unique table/alias"
Hi list, I get the error "Not unique table/alias" (myql 4.1) when trying eager load 2 classes that use the same base class (not STI) Example: <code> class Wedding < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :bride, :class_name => ''Person'', :foreign_key => ''bride_id'' belongs_to :groom, :class_name => ''Person'',

ggplot2 / reshape / Question on manipulating data
...rent in some way because 'qplot' graphs them differently. Finally, I'd like to use a color attribute to 'qplot' to augment each point with a color based on the total number of votes for the year. Using attributes with 'qplot' seems simple, but I'm having a hard time grooming my data appropriately. I believe this requires aggregation by summing the VoteCount column. Is there a way to cast the data using different aggregation functions for various columns? In my case, I want the mean of the VoteMean column, and the sum of the VoteCount column. Then I want to produce...

transition matrices
...working with transition matrices of sequences of animal behaviours. What I would like to do is parse the original matrices, adjusting row/column order so that the matrix has its main values in blocks surrounding the diagonal. This would cause behaviours involved in functional groupings (e.g. grooming, resting, foraging etc) to appear as blocks. This can be done manually by applying subjective 'prior knowledge' of sequences, however I would like to have an algorithmic/objective method to generate at least a first cut ... Any suggestions or hints (even just thoughts) would be much appr...

FW: filexfer draft and uid / gid resolution ...
Damien, Thanks for the response. Are you aware of any sftp server products that currently implement the uid / gid resolution or is this new draft just too unrefined / recent. Also, is there a definitive source for these drafts and where might they be published? Up till now I have just been reading the documentation available from www.openssh.org. I hope these questions aren't too

ACL to make mailboxes populated by master account Read Only for regular users.
We have a solution using Dovecot as a secondary mail archive. All mailboxes are populated/groomed by master account and the actual users have only read access. This is achieved by a simple ACL approach. dovecot.conf has protocol imap { mail_plugins = acl quota imap_quota zlib } plugin { acl = vfile:/etc/dovecot/acls:cache_secs=300 } /etc/dovecot/acls/.DEFAULT file is trivial: user=master

Difficulty understanding sem errors / failed confirmatory factor analysis
Hello, I'm trying to fit a pretty simple confirmatory factor analysis using the sem package. There's a CFA example in the examples, which is helpful, but the output for my (failing) model is hard to understand. I'd be interested in any other ways to do a CFA in R, if this proves troublesome. The CFA is replicating a 5 uncorrelated-factor structure (for those interested, it is a

Warning: CDRfix branches about to be merged into 1.4, 1.6.0, trunk!
This is just a note that the fixes in the CDRfix4 and CDRfix6 branches are getting closer to being merged into 1.4, trunk, and 1.6.x. If CDR's are important to you, and you ignore this notice, then you deserve what you get! These branches address various long-standing bugs, most of which are regressions from 1.2. It is hoped that these fixes will solve most of the problems introduced by the

filexfer draft and uid / gid resolution ...
Sorry if this is not the best place to post this question but I'm not sure who else to ask. After reading through the filexfer draft I am having trouble understanding how a sftp client goes about resolving uid / gid to its text representation. Without handling this translation for the user, how do they know the difference between one uid / gid to the next without opening up a terminal to the

Facebook group needs help with newbie member questions
...ding them to wiki, forums or here is not really an option since most of them will not bother with registering, they would most likely just find some inadequate howto on the net, mainly not even for rpm distro but explaining how to manually download and compile packages :-/ Again, I believe that grooming newbie's on Facebook can be great for CentOS popularization, since General Linux group has 36.000+ members (and 244 new members in last 7 days at the moment). I can not offer you admin status, but those well known to CentOS team can be promoted by Karanbir. -- -- Ljubomir Ljubojevic (Lov...

fax / t38 gateway
I'm trying to figure out how to handle our fax line when we switch to our asterisk for voice. After a lot of reading and poking about I have concluded, as have many others it would seem, that the best thing to do is either to have a separate pstn fax line or use some sort of internet faxing service rather than try and make faxing work in a way it's not meant to over voip lines.
