Statistical Software Comparison
Hi R users: I want to know if any of you had used Stata or Statgraphics. What are the advantages and disadvantages with respect to R on the following aspects? 1. Statistical functions or options for advanced experimental design (fractional, mixed models, greco-latin squares, split-plot, etc). 2. Bayesian approach to experimental design. 3. Experimental design planing options. 4. Manuals (theory included in the manuals). 5. Support (in this aspect there is no comparison with R, the R list is the best known support). 6. Numerical stability. 7. Implemen...

winbind mapping depuration
...happens if that range is fully filled? How I can depure the winbind mapping, I mean, the users deleted on the PDC (non samba maybe) must be removed from the winbind mapping, how I can do that? is that functionality implemented? if not, what do you suggest to me (without using AD)? Saludos, Nahuel Greco.

Changing NICE value for * will it help?
By default asterisk (on my system) runs with NICE value "0" like most of the programs. Will the performance improve if I assign NICE value of let say -5 or -10 to asterisk? To my understanding it should as the priority will be higher than most other programs (it might even solve some echo problem). Am I right? How to start asterisk with priority let say -5? If I start the main process

OT: DSL without voice
A lot of people are going for the "VOIP only" approach, but SBC says you have to have an active analog voice circuit before they will sell you DSL. Does anybody know which DSL providers will sell you DSL without making you pay for a voice circuit?

US T1 Hangup Detection
We are in the process of preparing to move our Asterisk server to a Digital T1 interface card instead of a analog card (via an Adtran which is now connected to the T1). I did a preliminary test the other day and hooked the T1 line up to the T1 card, bypassing the Adtran. This worked rather well I must say. The two issues I ran into are: 1) Caller ID is not working even though I enabled

Gracias, como siempre, Manuel print(ggplot(legend=FALSE)+geom_path(data=map_data('world'), aes(x=long,
