float/decimal with dot or comma
Hi,
I''m facing a really strange behaviour with rails 1.1.6.
A model has a field declared as :float in schema.rb, as numeric in
postgres 8.1.
On save/update, rails makes the decimal point become a comma on the
prod server only, hence making a sql error.
This error was not there three weeks ago, i.e. when my prod server was
in 1.1.4. Maybe something else changed, I cannot be sure

binary_to_string/string_to_binary confusion
I am attempting to write a FrontBase activerecord adaptor. I''m down
to only two unit tests failing, and one of them is binary_test.rb.
I can''t figure out the logic of binary to string conversion.
Internally, I want the ''data'' attribute to be a String object

**hi I am just curious what IDE everybody uses to develop rails application.
I am using eclipse with RDT and RAD plugin. But for some reason kicking
debug session takes a lot of time. Do anyone experience this kind of
problem?

Is there any way to prevent Rails 3 from using an ORM? In Rails 2, it
used to have a description in environments.rb explaining how to do that.
In Rails 3, is there any way to tell it to not use any database? I was
trying to make some benchmarks from situations that don''t require a
database...
Thanks in advance,
Rodrigo.

Migration to rails2 rails3
Good evening everyone,
I went to change the Rails version of my project, and saw that many things have
stopped working.
As the "rake routes", which is giving the following error:
rrmartins rodrigo @: ~ / Documents / vota_prato $ rake routes
rake aborted!
no such file to load - tasks / rails
(See full trace by running task with - trace)
