Use Global ISel or SelectionDAG
Hi llvm-dev,
I am currently writing a backend for an architecture I am designing in my
bachelor's thesis and recently came across the GlobalISel Selection
Framework.
Should already start using this over the more common Selection DAG?
Being new llvm backend development, I am not sure if GlobalISel would be
"easier" to implement than ISelDAG and if there is any decent documentation

FreeBSD 6 - DirectAdmin - dovecot
Since version 1.0 I experience strange problems with dovecot. At the
moment I have beta 7 installed. I use FreeBSD 6.0.
* Pop3 works
* Imap works, but only when i telnet to localhost
* In all other cases I can't connect to the server. Tried with
squirrelmail, uebimau and thunderbird. Squirrelmail after a long time
waiting: "ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server."

Print from wine
I'm running debian sarge and have installed wine with "apt-get" (wine
20041201). Afterwards I configurated it with winetools. Everything went
fine. I also installed the Internet Explorer and Office 2000.
There were no problems during the installation and IE and Office run without
problems besides printing. There I get error messages like "no printer
installed".

Dovecot freeze - 1.0 rc7 - FreeBSD 6.1
Hi,
One of my customers currently experiences a
dovecot freeze on random accassions. Trying
to figure out what's wrong with no luck.
Dovecot is running fine, up until it suddenly
stops responding. The log file says:

HELP: Samba & flat file Visual FoxPRO BDD :(
Hello, and Happy News Year from France J
Since 4 month I'm trying to configure Samba 3 on an Ubuntu server 10 to
replace a W2k server.
The client software is used over Windows XP vista and seven.
This software use smb for a flat file (.dbf) share for 9 users the new
server is more powerful the old one
but I think that the Oplocks options are causing high latencies in the
request.

error: (XEN) Not enough memory for DOM0 memory reservation.
Dear list,
I''m trying to get Xen working on a P3-600E with 320 MB RAM. (256+64)
It has suse linux 9.1 installed on it, and I tried to get xen running with
both the binary download from the xen pages and the suse xen packages
mentioned on this list some days ago.
Both ''install packages/kernels'' lead to the same error:

Are there OpenSSH library coding examples
Hi-
Apologies in advance if this is off-topic, but I've been
unable to find any coding or usage examples on how to open a
SSH client to a remote server. I'll happily RTFM if I can just
find the FM (!). The client environment is x86 Linux 2.6.x,
the remote SSH servers will be on proprietary embedded devices.
My current application uses a socket interface and select()

import from LISREL output of parameter estimates
I am using R and LISREL for simulation studies. R generates the data
that is analyzed with LISREL.
In LISREL I use "PV" in the LISREL output statement to request estimated
variances. LISREL writes these in a file that looks like this:
1 0 0
0.100331D+01 0.144845D+01 0.141009D+01 0.214423D+01 0.214129D+01

Hi all, still again here...
I'm doing some working to start the Italian translation job (build a
glossary and share some good rules to approach translation task)
I've analyzed the wiki software (MoinMoin) and found it extremely
useful and simple
and I'm trying to get in touch with the it-translator-team of that platform.
I've two questions :

summary[["r.squared"]] gives strange results
I am simulating an ANOVA model and get a strange behavior from the
summary function. To be more specific: please run the following code
and see for yourself: the summary()[["r.squared"]] values of two
identical models are quite different!!
## 3 x 3 ANOVA of two factors x and z on outcome y
s.size <- 300 # the sample size
p.z <- c(0.25, 0.5, 0.25) # the probabilities of factor z
