following Centos wiki headless install, but applying to FC10
I have successfully built an install CD following the instructions at: http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/VncHeadlessInstall Now I am trying to do the same with FC10 and I am failing in two ways. I have tried to find a similar howto for even FC9, but have not found the right google magic. The first problem should be small. When I set isolinux.cfg to start with: prompt 1 timeout 0 I

Samba 3.0.23c-1.fc5 problem - groups
Hi there, I use FC5. I discovered, for an exemple, if you have a user group with 3 members (Alan, Baker, Clive), before 3.0.23c this line at smb.conf worked fine: valid users = @user But with 3.0.23c update it doesn't work anymore. You have to replace the line like this: valid users = Alan, Baker, Clive I mean, replace the "@groupname" with the complete userlist of the

Desiring to set up Windows Vista and Linux Fedora Core 4
Greetings! Tonight is unfortunately the first small bit of time I've had to even try to get Samba configured between my Vista and my Linux FC4. (My mother as well as my extremely limited home time dealing with important things are my main delays.) It's not going well. :-) I have added hosts allow with 192.168.1 and 192.168.2. I have experimented with a few things. I

Firefox plugin to auto convert audio files into Ogg
per > http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=63653 The above thread on the Fedora Forums about a script that can automatically convert one audio format to another got me thinking > wouldn't it be fantastic to be able to right click on an MP3 (or other audio file) while in Firefox, and automatically have the file converted into Ogg at the same time as the file is being saved

fedora core 4
First has anybody been able to install wine on fedora core 4 by using an rpm? If so how? Second, It doens't appear that Mr. Beron has posted the latest version as rpms (20050628) for redhat/fedora. Does anyone know if he plans to? Justin

Does Nouveau break the nVidia drivers?
Dear developers I would like to submit dumps, but I spend ~4 hours last time on installing the nVidia drivers, and ended up with the livna.org RPM's. So can I install the Nouveau driver without damaging the nVidia drivers? I am using Fedora 7 and integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150. That's the C51 core, right? Hugs, Louise

preventing apache from being a mail relay
I am trying to recall back at least 2 years, and my notes are poor, and my searching appears to be worst... Seems I recall that last when I set up my apache server, the spammers were posting to it so it would send out the spam on port 25. There was some conf that I did to block this, but I did not document it, and I can't find any reference to this. I don't think my memory is that
