facilityenable in zapata.conf
Can someone explain what the facilityenable setting does in zapata.conf
I've read the wiki & archive, but it's not even clear what an ISDN
"facility" is.
Thanks,
MD

Any idea how making Asterisk "transparent"?
...ulse too. With direct
connection PBX works great and use both synchronization and give
impulse value so there must be problem on Asterisk side.
Machine is using lastest versions of Asterisk 1.2 branch (at time of
writing: zaptel 1.2.22, libpri 1.2.6, asterisk 1.2.24) on Fedora Core
4. I tried with facilityenable=yes as well without success. I do not
exactly know what facilityenable for.
Is Asterisk capable forwarding D-Channel and making Asterisk box
totally transparent? If yes which version? If branch 1.2 is capable
how should I setup it right?
Thanks.

Call deflection on ISDN PRI in Sweden
...eeping the callerid of the caller so it can be presented to the receiver of the transferred call.
At the time we're using Zaptel 1.4.5.1, Asterisk 1.4.11 and Digium hardware TE420B. We've ordered the service (CD) from the phone company.
The zapata.conf file inlcludes:
Transfer= yes
Facilityenable=yes
Callerid=asreceived
In extensions.conf we try to transfer a call to an external extension as: Transfer(ZAP/g0/ xxxxxxxx) but that fails with the ${TRANSFERSTATUS} = UNSUPPORTED.
Ideas anyone? We would really appreciate it!
Kind regards,
Hanna

DAHDI: How to supress notification of changing CallerID on transfer?
...up the phone (Internal ext. 321)
-> CallerID shown on customers device changes to
020212345-321
Same when I park the call and pick it up on another phone.
I don't want this to happen and can't figure out how to disable this on
DAHDI or at least the current channel.
I tried "facilityenable=no" in chan_dahdi.conf, but this only supresses
signalling the on hold status.
We are using a german ISDN "Anlagenanschluss" (bri_cpe) whith DDI served
by the Deutsche Telekom, connected to a ISDN card which is used with DAHDI.
Is there a hidden config flag or something to disable...

the CNAM info in the Q.931 call setup message. I've tried all
permutations of switchtype (dms100 & national) and facilityenable that I
can think of, but I still don't see CNAM coming out the other side.
Telco confirms that "Name Out" is enabled on our PRI.
Any pointers on what I'm missing, and/or how to debug further?

compatibility of PRI Two B channel transfers TBTC/2BTC
Hello,
A client has asked for Two B channel Transfer capability (known as
TBCT or 2BCT, similar to other features such as ECT, RTL and Q,SIG
Path Replacement) in a new Asterisk system and so I researched the
capability and came up with quite a few gaps in documentation.

QSIG error -- can somebody explain?
...hould forward our calls to the telco. This setup
works correctly as far as I use euroisdn as the switchtype.
The first problem was that it is only possible to run the * side in
CPE-mode -- I wanted NET.
Anyway, I configured * this way:
switchtype=qsig
signalling = bri_cpe
facilityenable = yes
My experience now is that it is possible to signal a call (both
outgoing and incoming) but as soon as the callee takes off the hook
the call-setup crashes.
Below is the debug log of an outgoing call to a service number of the
telco which tells the current time. (The point is that the called...

http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Asterisk%20bounty%20PRI%202B%20channel%20transfer
As for actually using this feature, you apparently need to add the
following lines to the zapata.conf section that you want to be able to
use 2BCT:
facilityenable = yes
transfer=yes
To execute the transfer, you need to use the "Transfer" cmd within Asterisk:
http://voipinfo.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+cmd+Transfer
And according to this post, you can only do 2BCT transfers if the
first call is inbound:

ISDN2 facility code...
I am trying to send 'codes' over an isdn2 link - such as *#24# - to
activate call forwarding.
But it doesn't work. I have tried sending it as a straight dial, and
also as a DTMF string...but no luck...
I spoke to a telco tech and he said I had to send a facility
code....huh?
Anyone with any ideas on this one?
