pxelinux feature request
Hello!
I have outlined a proposal for a new feature of pxelinux in
http://www.zytor.com/pipermail/syslinux/2004-December/004360.html (see
the last couple of sentences) but nobody has commented it, so I am
asking again:
Imagine a company with a lot of departments and where network booting is
widely used. Each department has different needs when it comes to
operating systems.

How to pass
HI!
Have somebody an expample how the syntax is for passing the path of
include files to:
"If a package needs to specify additional directories for search-
ing header les (`-I' options) or additional libraries for linking (`-l'
and `-L' options), it
should do this by setting the variables PKG_CPPFLAGS and PKG_LIBS in
`src/Makevars'." But no examples. :-(

Voicemail doesn't hangup
I'm running the a very recent CVS version of asterisk on an RH9
machine. My problem is that my x100p takes about 10 seconds to detect a
hangup. After that it takes about 10 more seconds for the the zaptel
device to release the line. Here's an example of my console report:

Help: issues about hostname & nameserver
Dear developers:
I'm using Samba-3.5.8 on Linux (Gentoo, amd64) as a file server, and using some Windows based OSes as clinet. And something strange happened to me.
Things went as follows:
1. If there was no dot (".") in the hostname of server, then no matter whether the DNS server (in /etc/resolv.conf) was set correctly or not, everything went fine. Client can access shares

Alternative section to the HOWTO...
IMHO, the priomap explanation in the 9.2.1.1. of the LARTC HOWTO is not
clear enough. I only understood it''s real behavior until I read this
document from Russell Stuart:
http://ace-host.stuart.id.au/russell/files/tc/doc/tc/priority.txt So, based
in this information, I''ve prepared an alternative priomap explanation for
this section of the HOWTO, if you like it as it is I could

to run the tool with commant line option similar to this: lnt runtest nt
--sandbox SANDBOX --cc ~/{path_to_clang}/clang --test-suite

Can this work?
I would like to develop a system where by I can boot any of the
machines on my system - and select from a menu what I would like that
particular client to do. For example, maybe load a bootdisk image from
a network share, and boot that. Or boot the first partition on the
local disk.

Plotting Standard Regression Fit-Am I wrong or a bug?
I'm trying to plot a time series (quarterly observations, seasonal effect,
T=56),regression line and predicted point on the same plot.
I'm using following commands:
> plot(qdts,xlim=c(1982,1997))
> lines(fitted(m2)~time,data=qd,col="red")
> points(predict(m2,newdata=nqd),col="blue")
where:
qdts<-ts(qd$durables,start=c(1982,1),freq=4)

how to create help files
Dear R users,
this is a question for R version 1.2.0 under Windows NT 4.0, regarding the
documentation of ones own functions.
I have ceated a private library for my functions, which works all very well,
apart from that I am not able to create appropriate help files.
For illustration, here is a simple example of where I'm stuck:

fit.contrast and interaction terms
Dear R-users,
I want to fit a linear model with Y as response variable and X a categorical variable (with 4 categories), with the aim of comparing the basal category of X (category=1) with category 4. Unfortunately, there is another categorical variable with 2 categories which interact with x and I have to include it, so my model is s "reg3: Y=x*x3". Using fit.contrast to make the

iSCSI and LVM
Hi Everyone,
I am going to get a storage server which will be connected to my Xen hosts via iSCSI/Ethernet. I wish to use LVM for the DomU disks. The storage server will have a RAID10 array, and 2 Xen hosts will connect to this (Each will have a 50% share of the RAID10 array, space wise).
What is the best way to go about this? Should I:
a) Split the RAID10 array into 2 partition on the
