Gutsy Xen 3.1 2.6.22-9-xen network-bridge problem
...mation if requested. (can''t issue the network-bridge start command now as it will disconnect me from the machine if I do so, I''m remotely connected at the moment) P.S. I tried also with a USB ethernet card, same result. Why does domU Windows have to be re-registered after Xen 3.1.0 dom0 upgrade
Hi all, Just wondering if anybody knows the answer to this mystery? I upgraded my Dom0 from Xen 3.0.4 + kernel 2.6.16.33-xen to Xen 3.1.0 + kernel 2.6.18-xen. After the upgrade, my domU (WInXP home edition) popped up a message saying that it needed to be re-registered with Microsoft, owing to significant changes in the hardware environment on which it is running. Something about windows

PV Drivers: XenSource ones VS GPL''ed
Hi all, I''m testing a windows 2003r2 installation on Centos 5 so i''im wondering about the reliability of Windows PV drivers on a domU running on the GPL "flavor" of XEN. - which are the most stable PV drivers GPL''ed ones or XenSource ones? - is safe running the XenSource ones on a GPL XEN machine or vice-versa? thanks, -- Ruggero Tonelli

GPL PV drivers for Windows - WDM version
I''m been busily converting the xenpci and xenvbd drivers from WDF to WDM to resolve a few issues including potential licensing problems with the Microsoft WDF and to (hopefully) allow them to function as boot drivers when doing install and system recovery. It was a fairly major rewrite of xenpci, and xenvbd, which are now working (booting and running without crashes so far). I

XEN 3.2.0 default bridge changed ?
Hello ! I yesterday updated one server to XEN 3.2 which was running 3.1.2 before. The default bridge setup stopped working (Guests network packets were not forwarded to physical ethernet connection on eth0) My bridge setup looked like this: root@quadxeon2:~# brctl show bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces eth0 8000.003048359fc0 no

Shared File System
I have a few cases where I need to share a filesystem (Read/Write) with multiple DomUs. Currently I use NFS to accomplish this task. However, NFS on Fedora 7 locks up under heavy traffic from time to time, forcing a reboot. Wouldn''t want that on the Dom0. Any one recommend a good way of sharing a file system in read/write with multiple DomUs? -- View this message in context:

Xen-3.1 on Ubuntu 7.10 keeps crashing
After numerous attempts to get Xen up and running, I''m on the edge of giving up. I''m now running Xen-3.1 / Ubuntu-7.10 When trying to build a DomU I always crash. Hi, I''m trying to start Xorg on a PV Fedora8 guest running 2.6.21.7 fedora stock xen kernel, however, it seems that there''s no xenfb.ko driver included in the .rpm package. Release 0.9.0 of GPL PV Drivers for Windows
I''ve just put up the latest release of the GPLPV drivers for Windows. This release involved a fairly big rewrite of the stuff that talks to Windows as I changed from WDF to WDM. WDF is a newer framework from Microsoft which makes it easier to write drivers as a lot of the state management stuff is done for you. It also means shipping a great big dll around with the drivers (note the
