How to save & play back an entire R session?
I know that at the end of an R session I'm given the option to save the current *state* of the session. But I would like to save the entire sequence of inputs that took place during the session, so that I can play them back later, and not only be left in the same state I was at the time of saving the session, but be able to see the entire history of the session (inputs and outputs). (This is somewhat reminiscent of what can be done wi...

C5 : Firefox 38 bug
...t; > https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-firefox > >> A candidate for upstream bugzilla ? > maybe at mozilla.org, but not at centos.org. > > The most offensive problems of using browsers is that they do not tell you nor ask your permission when javascripts spy on your entire storage contents. I had asked a java developer at Sun Microsystems about what Sun means when it says that Java runs in a sandbox? Just what is the sandbox? I also asked if browsers that execute javascripts are retricted to this notion of a sandbox that does not leak out into the rest of the system....

Entire Organization Switching from SAS to R - Any experience?
...been heavily dependent on SAS for the past while, and SAS is starting to charge us a very deep amount for license renewal. Since we are a non-profit organization that is definitely not sustainable. The team is brainstorming possibility of switching to R, at least gradually. I am talking about the entire institute with considerable number of analysts using SAS their entire career. There?s a handful of us using R regularly. What kind of problems and challenges have you faced? Any insight is much appreciated. Thank you very much! Kelvin

IMP reading entire mailbox
...over the past several days. I have narrowed it down to one particular user who has been logged in to IMP/Horde since the problem began (he hadn't logged since we upgraded to Dovecot a week before). IMP is periodically checking this user's mail every five minutes. Each time it does, the his entire mailbox is being read. I initially thought it might be an indexing problem since I am also seeing messages such as this in the logs: Corrupted index cache file /local/data/dovecot/indexes/mail/X/XXXXXXXX/.imap/delivery.log/dovecot.index.cache: Broken MIME parts for mail UID 30880 But the in/out b...

Submissions that include an entire previous digest
Colleagues, Today's digest (Volume 94, Issue 12) contained an entire copy of Digest, Vol 94, Issue 11. It appears that an inconsiderate poster (Message 39 in Issue 12) received the digest and clicked reply, thereby including the entire digest in his/her submission (> 6000 additional lines of text). This made it difficult to scroll through the digest efficiently...

Single method call to retrieve the entire page in HTML?
All, Another easy question. In Hpricot, on a doc that I am using, I can do a .to_html method and retrieve the entire page. However, this doesn''t seem to work in Mechanize. My goal is to the text of the page and put it into a database to make it searchable with ferret (using the acts_as_ferret plugin in Rails). Does anyone have a good suggestion short of iterating over the entire document and grabbing...

HTML help -- as a single document for the entire package
...was wondering if there was an equivalent to the pdf-manual for R-packages, but rendered as a single html page? I am looking for this as it would make reading easier as - no restriction to the standard paper width, but flowing to the browser window size - no page breaks - full text search across the entire manual. Thanks Holger [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Reintroduce "allocate entire disk" checkbox on virt-manager
Hi list, on older virt-manager versions (ie: what shipped with RHEL 6), a checkbox called "allocate entire disk" was selectable when configuring a new virtual machine. When checked, it means that the RAW disk image file was entirely allocated, generally issuing a fallocate() call. When unchecked, the disk image was a sparse file, with on-demand space allocation. On new virt-manager versions (i...

Ajax - Inserting selected elements from request.responseText
After retrieving a URL using an Ajax.Request... function onComplete (request, json) { // request.responseText holds the entire page Only the content contained in elementID = ''source'' is intended for display At this time, the following code works, but it disturbingly copies the entire page from the source URL into the target DIV $(''target'').innerHTML = request.responseText; // copy...

wine freezes entire System
hi there, I suppose, it's not an actual WINE problem, but I hope, you can at least tell me, where to get help. I'm running "Lineage 2" with WINE 1.3.10 on Kubuntu 10.10 with proprietary ATI graphics-driver. after a (seemingly) random period of time, the entire system freezes. the only thing possible is moving the mouse-cursor, which doesn't change it's style anymore, when I move it out of the game-window. I then have to hard-reboot my system, as nothing responds anymore. I have no idea what causes the freeze, and since the entire system freezes,...

How to comment out entire code parts in Sweave files
Hi, I am wondering if there is any convenient way to comment out an entire region of a Sweave file which comprises R and Latex code. Currently I'm doing it for the R and Latex parts separately or transfer the unwanted part into a different file. But both are not great solutions. (I am doing this when updating old files and debugging) Is there a way to do this wit...
