vectors levels are carried through to subsets...
I have a dataset. Initially, it has 25 levels for a certain factor, Description. However, I then subset it, because I am only interested in 2 of the 25 factors. When I subset it, I get the following. The vector lists only the two factors, yet there remain 25 levels: > Quadrats.df$Description [1] Emergent 25x75 Emergent 25x75 Emergent 25x75 Emergent 25x75 Emergent 25x75 Emergent 25x75

projecting GIS coordinates for analysis with spatstat package
I am working on creating an R package for doing fire department analysis and am trying to create a function that can display emergency incident densities. The following code sort of does the trick, but I need a display that shows the number of incidents per square mile. I believe the code below shows incidents per square unit (in this case, degrees lat/long). To solve this problem, I believe

Polycom Questions
Any Polycom gurus out there? If so, I have a few config file questions. First off, does anyone have the daylight savings time rules written for this Sunday's big change? Secondly, if there any way in the config file to tell the phone not to display the number of missed calls? I don't mind it keeping the missed calls list, I just don't want that running count. Lastly, I am trying

Time based calls charging and "reserved" numbers up to 999!
In United Kingdom, we have time based dialling pricing from most of Telco's based on time the call is placed! It is called PEAK (08.00- 18.00 Mon-Fri), OFF PEAK(18.00-08.00 Mon-Fri) and WEEKEND (all other times! Could someone from any of other countries let me know if time based charging exists in your country? Also, what numbers (up to 999) are commonly used for emergency, police or other

My new Polycom 450's can't xfer to 4-digit extension
Hi all. I just installed bunch of IP450's and everything went well and my customer is happy.... except that they are unable to transfer calls to other extenstions. They can dial them directly just fine. However, when the user is in a call and presses the transfer soft key, they get dial tone, and start typing the extension, say 1008. But by the time they get 100 typed in, the phone tries

Testing UK emergency dialing and LCR.
Hiyall. Just wondering how people test your emergency dialing in the UK. Obviously you need to dial the 999 for emergency services, but am a bit unsure if this would go down too well with the operator with a 'sorry just testing' call. (you do all /test/ your emergency dialing dont you!?:-) ) As another thing, what is the correct method when using least cost routing... If you have a

Re: 911 and lawsuits and redundancy
...o call the emergency services first. Nonetheless, this is all reported to the crisis manager. The crisis manager does a number of things, one of which is to be the crisis manager. Sound bizarre? Well, no. Their job, is partly to be a central point of communication. Any calls coming in regarding emergencies will be patched directly to this person. In the event of phone system failures or major disasters, then the person will have an emergency phone on which to call out on. It's actually more dangerous to empower people in an emergency, then it is to reduce the number of people involved, and t...

Problem getting TDM400P clone card to go off-hook and dial
I am having problems getting a Nicherons TDM400P wildcard clone to dial out. Everything appears to be configured correctly, but although I see call progress, it never seems to actually pick up the phone. (The following is a test of 911 emergency, where I substitute 811 [repair service] as the actual number dialed.) *CLI> -- Executing [911 at from-internal:1]

Emergency calls - forcing through on channel
Hi Hypothetical but quite possible scenerio: Attempted emergency 911 call but all zap channels are already in use. Is there any way to hangup zap channels before dial(Zap/g1/911) or equivalent. AFAIK hangup doesn't except options so I CANNOT do something like hangup(Zap/g1) to clear zap channels before the dial statement - this is what i was hoping to do. So what do other people do?

E911 Testing !
I believe the 911 is a serious issue if one does an asterisk installation in an office. How do you test 911? Won't they arrest you or something for dialing 911 for no reason and talking to one of their agents who could have taken a more important call? On the other hand what an emergency comes up (like someone got seriously injured) and on top of that asterisk crashed all of a sudden

[LLVMdev] register scavenger
I ran into another issue with register scavenger. In my case, I don't need a place on the stack for an emergency spill slot. I have these free mips32 registers, that are not in general very useful for other things, for the emergency spill slot. I can move to and from mips16 (subset of mips32) registers and mips32 registers. I also have a situation where I need two free registers so then

what are the constraints on the contents of 'imported ' files

Server entering Emergency Shell, but continues fine after pressing Enter
Hello all, I've got an odd problem that doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere. I have several identical CentOS 7 servers (GCE instances). I recently ran `yum update` and rebooted all of them. All the servers came back fine except one. I opened a connection to the serial console of the broken server, and was greeted with this prompt: ? Cannot open access to console, the root

[LLVMdev] register scavenger
You mean when I "explicity" use it by calling methods of register scavenger? Right now I'm just allocating virtual registers that will be resolved by the use of register scavenger and I'm also providing an override of the virtual method saveScavengerRegister. In Mips16, I have an extra mips 32 register (not usually very useful since it can only be used in a move instruction)

Lustre Debug level
Hi, Lustre manual 1.6 v18 says that that in production lustre debug level should be set to fairly low. Manual also says that I can verify that level by running following commands: # sysctl portals.debug This gives ne following error error: ''portals.debug'' is an unknown key cat /proc/sys/lnet/debug gives output: ioctl neterror warning error emerg ha config console cat

[LLVMdev] register scavenger
I'm confused as to the logic used in the register scavenger when it cannot find a free register. I would think that it would want to free up the emergency spill slot immediately after it's use, because otherwise there is a chance of needing to use the emergency slot again and not be able to. Instead it tries to restore it only right before register it is freeing up. Maybe I'm
