How to create EXT3 file system image from directories?
Hi there,
Is there a utility to create an EXT3 file system image from directories?
Just like the mkfs.jffs2 which creates a JFFS2 file system image from
directories?
The "mke2fs -j" only creates the bare bone file system, what I want is to
build an image with pre-built content.
Thanks,
Debbie

beta7 and am now able to trigger an "Attempt to refile free buffer"
assertion.
This seems to "only" occur when using ext3 on the root filesystem.
Possibly that is related to the fact that the lvm utility I'm using to
reproduce this problem is modifying data in /etc.
The easist reproduction case I've come across to generate the assertion is
to load up lvm (insmod if necessary) and then run:
while /bin/true; do vgscan -v; done
Then wait a while and it will generate the assertion. You can speed it up
a bit by running another instance of the above command. :)

Channel banks
I need a good reliable source for channel banks. Ebay is nice but too
many variations of quality. I need one that can do 8 FXO and 16 FxS
does anyone have a particular model, other than adtran that they can
recommend???
And if possible include a source to buy from...
Thanks in advance,

So I set out to optimize the system.
The easist thing is to build an optimized kernel: built for the "C3" CPU.
(I can send the config and/or complete kernel deb, if you're interested).
This had about zero effect on the output of 'show translation'.

tune2fs -j /dev/hdb1
And /.journal is again visible!

Hi..
I have found the easist way was to navigate to the cd then right click. open in terminal. type ( wine your.exe ) where your.exe is the name of the file you want to run... hit enter & you should be away... the other way copy the setup disc to a folder on your desktop... then go to the exe properties - permissions - ma...

Old smbpasswd file to new SMB 3.0 smbpasswd
Hello -
Is there a script available to convert an old 2.2.18 smbpasswd file to
the newer Smb 3.0 smbpasswd file? The reason I ask is that ive figured
out why my users are getting bad errors when changing passwords locally.
I have over 1000 users and dont wish to manually add them into a fresher
smbpasswd file.
Thanks

Preventing Double Submit?
Hi,
I have a sensitive submit button that does a separate credit card
payment post in the controller action, which could take ~2 seconds. I
want to ensure that if the user double clicks on it, that the controller
won''t do two payments. Right now, I do a redirect after the payment
succeeds, so a refresh of the page won''t cause a problem but I am
worried about multiple requests

Ogg Vorbis DirectShow decoder filter - ongoing development ?
Hi,
ome of you may know me, i am one of the project admins of a video
related opensource project. For playback of Vorbis audio tracks in
movies, if being played on M$ via DirectShow, we are currently using the
Vorbis decoder filter from Tobias Waldvogel. However, we found out that
this decoder filter is not acting DirectShow compliant with respect to
handling of timestamps. When passing the

root fs upgraded to ext3 on rh 6.2 based machine problem when not cleanly unmounted
Hello,
I search through but I didn't find a clear answer about it.
I have a rh 6.2 based box where I made many steps of upgrades.
Some of them, not being available the binary rpm glibc 2.1 based, I
obtained using src.rpm from rh 7.2 and then runnig
#rpm --rebuild package.src.rpm
and then installing the generated binary: great sw rpm!!!
My rpm version is 4.0.2-6x for both rpm, rpm-devel,

New PBX Help
Hi All,
We recently had an old office building burn down. The office housed
maybe 20-30 people. Only about 10 or so of those had their own
extensions. We had a standard pbx from an area communications company,
and I'm not quite sure about what kind of phone lines were there, I only
know that their were actually 3 phone numbers, but everyone could get an
outside line if they needed
