...ations, and I'd like to get several in one box. I realise a BSD list would be a better place for this, but who else but streaming folk would ever think about multiple sound cards? After installing a second card, when I makedev snd1, it creates all the usual devices but ending in a 1, eg. /dev/dsp1, /dev/audio1. So I think ahah! I now have dsp and dsp1! But these turn out to be links to the first devices, eg. /dev/dsp, /dev/audio. Has anyone ever managed this? I have a system that is using Intel HDA as its output, and a Plantronics USB headset as the microphone input. I would like to have my wine configuration emulate this setup, I currently have been unable to confirm that it isnt... I just cant get Steam to choose the plantronics headset as the default voice device (this is the goal). Would appreciate any insight!

Somebody knows how do I set wineoss.drv or winealsa.drv to use the second sound card instead of the first one? Currently I'm using winearts.drv, but want to get rid of arts, cause wine is the only one on my box using it. Thanks.

I have two soundcards (with alsa 1.0.11rc4, and OSS emulation) on my machine, and I would like to change the one Wine is using; I didn't find anything in the system.reg, and I believe ~/.wine/config isn't used anymore? The sound works, but I would like to use /dev/dsp1 instead of (default) /dev/dsp. I can't use winecfg, it throws an unhandled exception when I click on the audio tab.
