Redis in place of astdb
...rrently we need to use an AGI to connect to redis to pull CNAM. So in place of: Set(CALLERID(name)=${DB(CNAM/${CALLERID(num)})} it would be done with redis for example: Set(CALLERID(name)=${REDIS1(CNAM_${CALLERID(num)})} If not can the devs here give me a pointer to where to look? New faxing protocol. Good/Bad ?
...a from RFC2833. Yes I know that fax machines send bit by bit and get a conformation on it but maybe this would work a bit better. Send the entire "image" over and then get a response when it is done. This way if there is issues along the way the packets can be re-sent with out any issue. Lightweight ODBC DB
Hi, I am running several Asterisk boxes with realtime around the world. Does anyone have a recommendation for a "light" db that would work with Asterisk that would also allow replication between all sites (so if I add an entry to one box it will work with the rest)? TIA. Snom 360
I am having major problems with the first run of Snom 360s that rolled out last month. I am working with the US vendor and they in turn are working with Snom but I wanted to see of anyone else was using these or having issues with them. Issues: Speakerphone/Hands Free volume spikes up and down during a call. You have to manually set the volume during every call. This makes it totally unusable.

Forking AGI or GoSub
I have an AGI that can sometimes take time complete. I don't want the dialplan to be held up by the agi. Interesting Conference Request - Can this be done ?
...He wants to have people call in to a conference room and all be able to talk however they should not hear each other. There should be admin access to for one user to call in and be able to listen in to everyone that is talking (they may want this admin to be able to talk to). Any ideas ? Thanks.
