S4 classes in existing packages
R-devel,
I'm interested in looking at some examples of existing R packages that
rely heavily on S4 classes to get a feel for varying styles and
package organization techniques. Could you recommend any packages
that might serve as a good starting point?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Is there a general S3 or S4 class other than "htest" that would better
accommodate such extraction of distributions or likelihoods? I would
also appreciate any suggestions for strategies or contributed packages
that may facilitate automation. For example, would the "distrTEst"
package help?

maximum likelihood estimate
Hi!
Recently I try to find the method maximum
likelihood for gamma, weibull,Pearson type III,Kappa Distribution,
mixed exponential distribution, skew distribution.
I have tried function ms() for gamma two parameters and weibull two
parameters. It works but not for Pearson type III. I have problem to find
the likelihood function for mixed exponential distribution and kappa
distribution.
So can

authorship and citation
...ge is, I think, exclusively data
sets. I added functions, which I later spun off into a separate Edfun
package; I'm listed as the Author and Maintainer of that.
Another example that may help you: The "distr" package has several
companion packages: distrDoc, distrEx, distrSim, distrTEst, distrTeach,
distrMod, and distrEllipse. I haven't checked, but each package could
have a separate and different list of authors.
Hope this helps.
