Inside / (which is mostly always ext4), 100% of the time. :-)
That said, I prefer virtual machines over multiboot environments, and

Re: BUG: Forum driving away experienced users
Trouble is if you split the list into newbies and non-newbies the people the other Alan despises so much won't think of themselves as newbies.
As a relative newbie myself I find it hard to swallow some of the near-elitist attitude shown by some experts, calling someone who isn't as experienced as you a noob is just plain insulting. I hope when those people learn something new they don...

CentOS 6
I finally switched workstations, and am running into a lot of truly
annoying details with CentOS 6, and the software with it. For one, I'm
doing this by webmail, and this version of Firefox *insists* on putting
what I'm typing in gray, rather than black. For another, I despise the new
version of thunderbird, since it now shows the full subject, if I have
what they used to call the preview

I despise complexity and Grub has been giving me headaches on Voidlinux..

Is the X100P a WinModem?
So I've been on the Asterisk list for a long time. Mostly looking to set
it up as a cheap alternative to a commercial MeetMe bridge, as a for-fun
project.
I keep noticing the Wildcard FXO X100P sorta seems like a Winmodem.
Winmodems are basically a sound card chip tied to a pots port, where the
Winders driver takes on the MO/DEM functions in software. I've always
despised them as a data

Check feed connected, active - IceCast 2.4.x
There is a plugin for Nagios called check_ice that you can also just
compile and run standalone.

markdown conversion routines
i am considering writing converters
between my "zen markup language'
and "markdown", but i don't know
which version of markdown to target.
i'd think it'd be the "pandoc" version,
and i understand that to be closest to
"multimarkdown", but gruber has said
he "disagrees" with "almost every part"
of multimarkdown's syntax

Icecast2 / Ogg / oddcastDSP / Winamp2 Constant Prebuffering
Hrm, yes it does sound like a bug in WinAmp. Even if it does prebuffer, the
length counter should be going beyond 0:01 since you've obviously been
listening longer than that after the first second. =P (I don't think the
counter resets after buffering, but I could be wrong.)
Can you see if you can duplicate it by getting someone else to tune in to the
'cast with WinAmp?

[LLVMdev] GSOC - HLVM Work
Hello,
I would also like to apply for Google's Summer of Code, but I am
having difficulty finding a concrete project idea to tackle. (Though
certainly interesting, a new front-end or a compiler optimization
pass seem like to large as projects for a single summer -- and
certainly something I couldn't accomplish given my lack of
familiarity with the code-base.)
I have read the

[LLVMdev] GSOC - HLVM Work
Gabe,
I'm quite new to hacking on LLVM, but I'll give you an idea I had
reading some of the recent dev list posts. I think investigating
concurrency with regards to LLVM would be very useful (what with
multi-cores and all). This could be concurrency in regards to GC, or
it could be simply looking at how LLVM can best interface with
standard concurrency paradigms (OpenMP, MPI)

@RowlandPenny
I stick to it. You are unpleasant.
I don't want you to answer my posts anymore.
Not here, or on StackExchange, like one or two months ago, where I was
trying to avoid your answers.
(I was happy, at the end of 2019, the last time I had to care about
Samba, when Van Belle took care of me with kindness and efficiency
(within a couple of days the problem was solved). You answered

I'm curious what has made some people hate LVM so much. I have been

Adding Size information to Maildir files
I searched on this, but found information only for very very old dovecot versions, and those answers didn?t quite cover what I am asking.
All my current mail has the ",S=51489,W=52449:? style tag in the Maildir filename, but I have many messages in Archive mailboxes that have no size information.
Is it possible to automate adding the size info to the files without mucking up the mail in

Check feed connected, active - IceCast 2.4.x
Here can take a look other alternative:

We base our solution in avprobe/ffprobe, this test like a real listener.
Feedback is welcome! this is just first release, but we use on production.

_Streaming_ AAC to HTML5 player
We've been using Icecast KH for years now with great success. Thanks
again Karl H!
It's past time to ditch Flash!
I'm probably a bit out of date on this issue. The last time I checked,
no browser was able to directly play an AAC / MP4 / M4A stream from
Icecast. They can play AAC _files_ but not _streams_.
I see that there are now alternatives beyond Wowza and Red5.
But my
