Once it hangs it will not answer the phone again until I reboot. Starting and stopping Asterisk or reloading the drivers does not

Call Transfer using SIP clients
Hello all, First of all, let me apologize about the length of this message, but I suppose it was necessary to include the details. I've spent quite some time already trying to get the call transfer function to work on my Asterisk installation. Let me first describe the general situation of the setup I am using, so you might be able to pinpoint the cause of the problem. I'm currently

Autocompleter.Local problem/desparate plea for help...
I have been trying to write a selector function for Autocompleter.Local that will show a predefined Array and will scroll automatically to the first match. I have had success with with getting my list to populate and show all of the choices, however I cannot get it to scroll to the first match. Since I build the JS Array I can know exactly how many items are in the list going into my selector,

Assistance request
Hi Samba team, first I want to appologize for this spam, you probably get tons of such messages per day. However I am desparate and sick of digging into newsgroups, mailing lists and everything else ;)) Since 1 year I am trying to find a way to make samba receive winpopup messages from Windows 2000, or Xp, using the "net send" command. Receiving messages from other linux machines

NIS - netgroup
Hello; Sorry for the crosspost/repost, but I am getting desparate here. I am having difficulties setting up ssh (ossh4.3p2 - NIS -Solaris8/Sparc) to authenticate and allow ossh access based on NIS netgroup. So, users and/or host should be from a valid netgroup triple, contained within the ossh servers .rhosts, .shosts, hosts.equiv and/or shosts.equiv. I am having alot of trouble getting NIS

http as a transport for rsync?
...rder and harder to rsync across the net. Do you think we will ever be able to use http as a transport for rsync? For example, when will I be able to do this: rsync -arv http://rsync.domain.tld/webroot It would seem that this is the logical next step for rsync and is the one feature I most desparately need. What would be required for this? An apache mod? Perhaps this email can be a catalyst for a positive brainstorming session towards this end. Robert

AD + winbindd(8): group permissions being ignored ? WTF ?
Hi all, I am successfully authenticating "FreeBSD 7.0-CURRENT #1: Wed Jul 25 17:31:15 WST 2007" against AD. Users can log in succesfully with home directories being served via amd(8) and NFS. However, I have discovered a potential "show-stopper" that will force me to abort this mission :( The problem -~-~-~-~-~- In a nutshell: Simple group permissions set with chown(1) are

mod_fcgid first request slow
I have posted this before with not much response so I am posing the question again. Is there a solution for this very apparent issue with mod_fcgid that the "First connection is incredibly slow". It seems its b/c mod_fcgid doesnt keep at least 1 persistent connection around that this first connection needs to start up and then every other request is fast. Is there a solution to this?

residuals with missing values
hi: sorry to bother you all again. I am running a simple lm(y~x+z) regression, in which some of the observations are missing. Unfortunately, the residuals vector from the lm object omits all the missing values, which means that I cannot simply do residual diagnostics (e.g., plot(y,x)). Would it not make more sense to have the residuals propagate the missing values, so that the residuals

Hello list! I have strange performance issue with an single Windows 7 client in a simple network setup with one samba server, and various windows clients (Win XP, Windows 7). All clients can open shares with explorer, without any delay (the share contents are listed directly). But one client, a lenovo Windows 7 Laptop has strange problems opening these same shares. Ext3 -> Ext2 ?
Hi there, I tried to setup my linux box with an ext3 root file system. That failed because of wrong initrd settings. Sorry. Now the filesystem is marked having a journal but there is no /.journal file anyway. I tried to buikd that journal by hand (tune2fs -j /dev/hda3 - in my case). That fails also. :-( /sbin/tune2fs -l /dev/hda3 says: ... Journal UUID: <none> Journal

Network Loading of freeBSD
...that my above story is very similar to ?[syslinux] run FreeBSD "pxeboot" from pxelinux.0?? in the syslinux mailing list of 2003. But there the problem disappeared by magic with a new release of pxelinux, which meanwhile became obsolete. So the results have not been helpful for me. Hope desparately, that somebody can help me. Locking problems in 2.2.2
Hi, I am using a small network of, say, 10 W2K workstations on which I run a database application using shared table and index files on a Samba 2.2.2 server (Suse Linux 7.2). The application was just ported from Clipper to XBase++. The Clipper compiled app (it's a 16-bit DOS application) runs fine. The 32-bit XBase++ app produces corrupt index files and behaves eratically after several
