documenting s4 methods in package
Hi,
I have written a package that contains many s4 generic functions and
associated methods. I am having a lot of trouble getting R to build the help
pages for these generic functions without reporting, "missing link(s):
~~fun~~, which means that it cannot find the appropriate function when code
in the example section of the help is run. Right?
After some playing around I can get it to

BSD/OS and 2.5.2-current
Hi,
Ever since after 2.5.1, rsync is no longer compiling cleanly, or

indexing
Don't know if this is useful to anyone, but here's a "poor man's"
solution I came up with to the CRAN indexing problem ... not as good as
having a full-text web link, but it does have some advantages. (1) it's
already done. (2) it's relatively easy to download and store this
information off-line, and to update it periodically. (3) it doesn't (now)

Problems with 2.5.3 under Debian Linux
I'm having serious problems with the current 2.5.3 release under
Debian "testing" and the 2.4.19-pre2 Linux kernel.
As you can see from the appended build log, I get many compiler
warnings. More seriously, when I install and try to use the
resulting binaries over ssh, things bomb horribly, e,g:
bash-2.05a$ rsync -vaz homer-rr.ka9q.net:wwv_wwvh .

[R] documenting s4 methods in package
There are usually two directories involved in an install: the source
directory and the install directory in R_HOME/library.
The INSTALL procedure builds the package (usually in place in Windows,
I'm not sure if that's the case in Unix) and installs it into the
install directory by copying those files necessary to use it. REMOVE
removes the install directory, cleaning up

samba 4.1.3 -- multiple bugs & 1, 297 coredumps -- coredump backtrace + full-backtrace included
Hello,
A few months ago the distribution I use (Debian Testing) moved from Samba 3
to Samba 4 - I started seeing a lot of problems. Since then there are two
bugs I find occurring on a regular basis:
1. Consistent dumping core on a regular basis (very rarely, if ever
occurred with Samba 3)
a. $ ls -ltr *core*smbd* |wc -l
b. 1297
c. $ du -ach *core*smbd*|tail -n 1

Signal 11 in smbd 3.0.2rc2 on printer operation!
Our computers in our office ceased being able to print to a shared cups

dying. Below is the stack trace produced by gdb bt full.
The Samba 'panic action' script, /usr/share/samba/panic-action,
was called for pid 5839 (/usr/opt/samba-3.0.2rc2/sbin/smbd).

Samba 4.7.1 Generating Core Dumps
Hi,
We are having issues with our samba server running on CentOS 7. It's generating core dumps and dumping them in the / (root filesystem) directory in the form of core.##### where the # is a series of numbers.
Snippets of log files and some troubleshooting commands are below. Hope someone can have a look and see if I should file this as a bug, as there were similar posts in the samba

[draft PATCH] whitelist support for refuse options
This adds support for whitelisting the acceptable options in the
"refuse options" setting in rsyncd.conf. It introduces "!" as a
special option string that refuses most options and interprets
any following strings as patterns of options to allow.
For example, to allow only verbose and archive:
refuse options = ! verbose archive
The "!" does't refuse no-iconv,

General question - better descriped.
Hi everyone,
i'm currently trying to write an application that let you "code" with
nodes. (think of a node like a function that has input and output slots
that can get connected).
I need a few functions that are predefined and can be used in the code
(so i want to parse and create an AST for those functions/variables and
then i need to parse C++ code (one node has c++ code that

Printer properties dialog looks and behaves different if driver is installed on samba or on XP
...no
difference concerning driver files.
But if i try to set the default settings of the samba-printer from a xp
client, this dialog logs different from the dialog, which I see from the
same client,
when accessing the same printer installed on another XP workstation.
And when I try to use the feature descriped above (first page from
different tray) it does not work any more.
What can be the reason for this.
Is the part of the driver, which assigns the first page a different tray
something, which is executed on the server, which is not possible on samba?
I am printing into a raw cups printer, so that cu...
