How can you make windows know there is a printer driver? The next problem: I've a german keyboard. Under Linux, I have all the deadkeys. When running wine, I can't use them. Hi, ive been trying wine and i love it , i have ubunty hardy with all the updates and wine 1.1.0 and i can run most applications i need in wine. although i have a problem , the keyboard layout is correct but deadkeys dont work. In ubuntu they keyboard is set to Portuguese and deadkeys work fine in all applications but in wine instead of ????? i have 'a 'e 'o ~a ~o... etc ive run a trace when i press '~' for example i get: " trace:key:X11DRV_KeyEvent type 2, window 4800007, state 0x000...

Same problem here. Using Ubuntu 9.04 64bit, Brazilian portuguese. Can type deadkeys everywhere except on wine applications(notepad, office 2007). I'm using scim/scim-bridge(portuguese/japanese) too and works on native linux GTK/QT applications, but doesn't work on wine..... just an extra information. Maybe it helps to solve this issue.... or not. :-)

No is not, it must be somekind of font or whatever. Cause everysingle application in Wine makes that problem instead of ? i got a ?e Can someone really help me? This problem is really annoying
