CentOS 7 + KDE - default keyboard layout?
Hi, I'm currently fiddling with CentOS 7 and KDE 4.14, and I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised. This is one of the cleanest implementations of KDE I've ever seen, and with some tweaking (a lot, in fact) this can be turned into a highly functional desktop with all the bling and bells and whistles. But right now, I have some minor problems to solve. First things first. My system is

Problems with German Keyboard
I have a german keyboard (being in Austria). IT is defined as "de" with variant "nodeadkeys" in /etc/X11/XF86Config and works fine under gnome in x windows, but when wine runs it says something: "keyboard not recognized using closest match German nodeadkeys". Well that is okay, but it doesn't work right. Under wine I can't get any of the characters that are normall...

Sorry if I re-ask a question, but I couldn't find a satisfying answer yet to the following problem: I installed wine on a UTF-8 Linux system, and everything works fine (running Wine 1.3.something, currently). But when I installed some games where you can use ^(~ on german keyboards) to open a console, nothing happens. Even when I ported some windows games over - installed in wine, deleted

4.4 on Dell D620: widescreenresolution?
Hi, Did anyone manage to get 4.4 working on a Dell D620 laptop? The thing has a 1440x900 LCD screen, but I don't get X the work with that resolution. (lspci: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)) Google suggested to use '915resolution', which I installed (915resolution-0.5.2-1.el4.rf), but that doesn't help.
