TE410P card in an HP-Compaq DL380 G4 server
Hi,
Has anyone had success using a TE410P card in an HP-Compaq DL380 G4
server?
For me the card is detected fine, but the system just never sees an
interrupt from the card. I've tried everything I can think of. The card
definitely works.
Its Fedora Core, but we also tried a stock 2.6.10 kernel. We tried with
and without Hyperthreading, with "noapic", we disabled all the

Anyone else tried Speex 1.1 CVS?
I built the CVS version of the Speex library - v1.2 it calls itself.
Asterisk seg faults trying to use codec_speex.so.
I'll have a look to try to fix it, but thought I'd just ask if anyone else
knows what needs to be done?

Obtaining billsecs in the dialplan after a call?
Hi,
I'm stuck on a silly thing. I need to get the "billsec" CDR value after a
call. But I'm finding its always 0.
Here's my test code:
exten => *244*,1,Dial(Local/test@custom-tests/n,,g)
exten => *244*,n,Noop(after dial duration is ${CDR(duration)} billsec is
${CDR(billsec)})
exten => *244*,n,Hangup

iaxtel and jitterbuffer
I am trying to work out IAX <--> IAX communications with my * box. I have a
registration with iaxtel and I thought I would start there for my learning.
I am able to call the number for Digium's support line (700-428-6000), but the
sound is horribly chopping. Some reading revealed the jitterbuffer settings,
so I enabled them in iax.conf. I have the following now:

jitter/jitterbuffer measurement shown is left over from the start of
the call.

Who is going to AstriCon (The Asterisk Conference)?
Hi,
I'm taking a straw-poll to see who out there is planning on going to
AstriCon. I would like to hear from both new members of the community
and gurus. What kinds of things would you like to see at an Asterisk
Conference? What topics are good BOF (Birds Of a Feather - informal
discussion group) fodder? What parts of Asterisk require the most
attention?
FYI - AstriCon is October 12 - 14

IAX2 attempts native bridge when notransfer=yes
...#39;t know
if the transfer happened or not.
And why was it even attempted if it is obvious that transfer is off?
(I know it can depend on the remote side.)

"Provisioned, Down, Active", but D-channel seems to be fine
Hi,
I'm seeing rather odd behaviour on a new box with TE110P card.
I'm running the TE110P span with ccs,hdb3,crc4 in pri_net, connected to a
second machine with a TE410P in pri_cpe.
The span is idle.
I'm using pri intense debug span 1 and can see the RRs going back and
forth.
So - things are running along with the span showing "Provisioned, Up,
Active" in pri show

Define variable in sip.conf
I'm looking for a way to transmit a user specific variable to my dialplan
If we use the example of the hair color, I was thinking of having something
like:
[bob]
context=users
host=dynamic
secret=password
type=friend
username=bob
hair=brown
[lary]
context=users
host=dynamic
secret=password
type=friend
username=lary
hair=black
And be able to access from the dialplan:
[users]

911 Q
OK, got a question on 911.
Looking into setting up a couple asterisk servers at a country club,
with VOIP phones in each of 100 short-term residential rental units.
Approx 100 extensions, approx 24 outside lines.
Since everything is geographically at one location, reaching 911
correctly shouldn't present a problem. However, the club wishes to
ensure that 911 authorities are able to identify

So, if one Asterisk server fails, how does failover work?

Asterisk & fax-out
I want to setup a phone system that can allow the caller to type in a faxback number, and automatically be sent a fax file. Is this possible with Asterisk? Or using Asterisk & a Linux fax program? I've seen stuff about incoming faxes, but nothing about outgoing. This is over a Zap channel, not IP, btw.
Thanks.

TDM11B pinout
Hi Asterisk Community,
I have a development with a TDM11B in it. I am trying to connect this to a
exchange line as well as a UK telephone and are looking for some pinout
information for the FXS port. Is it the centre 2 pins that at the tip and ring.
I have been digging around the Digium site but cannot seem to pick up this info.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

2 NuFone lines- which one to dial out on
I am setting up 2 nufone lines. I want to make them both availiable
for dial-out.
How do you syntax it in extensions.conf so that it figures out which
one is
avaliable and dials out on it.
Also how do you setup the name part of callerid for the outgoing lines?

IAX2 dropping call?
Hello all,
I updated from CVS 3 days ago and now my IAX2 gateway is dropping
calls without warning.
It happens right in the middle of a conversation with no pattern. I
never had this
Problem before and am usually talking 2-3 hours a day.
Is their a bug? Should I rollback?
Cheers,
Paul Seniuk
