cisco 7960 CTLSEP
2 new Cisco 7960 phones are requesting a CTLSEP file, seems like I triggered the universal application loader. I want to load the sip image 7.2 According to this Cisco information: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/voicesw/ps4967/products_upgr ade_guides09186a008022a968.html#wp1047292 If the CTLSEP MAC file is not present or is...

cisco 7940 + sccp issue
Hi, Does anyone know how to make this thing (7940) work with asterisk (chan_sccp module) ? I've set the configuration according to the wiki and now the phone just keep asking for CTLSEP<xxx>.tlv from my tftp server. In the cisco's web interface, I found this in the device logs : 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800 ... I've already tried all the trick from wiki, still yield no result :(.. Any help would be...

Cisco 7941G-GE with Asterisk and CTPSEP odyssee
..., i.e. 8.0.2. I always get the same behaviour. But I realized it never got to the SIP image completely loaded status. I bought this phone and it had - no wonder - an SCCP image installed. When plugging that into an ethernet port the first thing it does is requesting an IP address and afterwards the CTLSEP<mac>.tlv file. In the status section I see an SCCP firmware entry. When I do a factory reset (that should be the right way to get the SIP firmware on such a phone, right?) it now loads the term41.default.loads and some other files and then reboots and requests the CTLSEP<mac>.tlv file....

Cisco 7970, CTLSEP<mac>.tlv
I just wanted to post this so that it was out there and Googleable. Hopefully it will save other people a bit of time. If you have a Cisco phone (I was testing with a 7970, though presumably it would affect 7960 and others as well) that is looping trying to fetch the CTL tlv file - it may be because you are using Debians 'tftpd' (should be netkit-tftpd...*cough*hey, Debian

cisco ip phne 7911G with asterisk
...s ok but a file that is downloaded : term06.default.loads (I understand that is for 7906 model) instead of term11.default.loads (I understand that is for 7911 model). In any case the phone reboots well. At this moment I thought that the phone should ask the SEP<mac>.xml.cnf file but it asks CTLSEP<mac>.tlv all the time. I don't have this file in the server and it tries to download every few seconds whitout asking another file. According to what I have read this file shouldn't be neccesary and, when the phone cann't obtain it, the phone should ask SEP<mac>.xml.cnf. I d...

Cisco 7941G-GE with Asterisk and CTPSEP odyssee
...have bought some Cisco 7941G-GE IP phones and want to use them with asterisk. Before bying I tested the whole setup with three different models of the old 79X0 series (a 7912, 7940 and a 7960). Flashing the formerly provided SCCP-Image to SIP was no problem, but now it complains about a nonexistent CTLSEP<mac>.tlv file. Most of the howtos say something about an empty file but that does not suit to me. Does anyone of you have experience in getting these phones to work or can point me to any information bringing me back in the game? Thanks in advance, Christophorus Laube

cisco 7970 sccp
Does anyone have the 7970 work with sccp? I have used the example configurations from the wiki. I can see that the phone is failing to retrieve the CTLSEP<MAC>.tlv file and then is able to retrieve the SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml file. The phone is hanging with the message "updating ctl". Thanks, John SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml: <device> <devicePool> <callManagerGroup> <members> <member priority="0&quo...

Cisco 7940 -60 firmware upgrades
...St. Suite 400 Philadelphia PA 19107 215-238-6970 -----Original Message----- From: Daniel Poulsen [mailto:dpoulsen@gmail.com] Sent: Monday, September 20, 2004 3:36 PM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Cc: mboehm@cytelcom.com Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Re: cisco 7960 CTLSEP I had this same problem and I only found out how to upgrade the phones by trial an error. I even opened a Cisco case to get help on it but they couldn't help me! I think the problem is that 79xx firmware prior to 7.x doesn't know to look for the .loads file, and without the loads file it...

Registering Cisco 7942G IP phone with Asterisk!.
...sterisk. ? Do we need to upgrade the SIP firmware to any latest versions? If yes, to which version we should be updating it? It would be of great help if you?advice us on?what are files we need to have in the tftpboot directory apart from the firmware (like SIP Default.conf, SIP<MAC>.cnf.xml, CTLSEP<MAC>.tlv, etc) for the upgradation. ? Hi, I am sorry if this message has been reposted, but for some reason I am having problems with posting it. I configured asterisk and zaptel modules with fedora2. I want to be able to load the zaptel wcfxo and wcfxs modules. For now I will use only the Wildcard TDM400P card. I am able to load the modules but I cant configure them using ztcfg or zttool because the tools are compiled to use the

Cisco 7940g Firmware load problems
I have a Cisco 7940G IP Phone. I am trying to load the firmware to SIP 3.2. The Phone just hangs in Defaulting CM to TFTP Server. It doesn't do anything else after that. I also have two other 7940g's that are the Universal Application Loader mode and say Protocol Application Invalid. I need to know what I can do to fix both these problems. I am running Asterisk@Home version 1.0. I have to
