Can someone explain this statement?
I was reading through the doc''s last night and made a bunch of notes. One of the things that I wanted to learn more about was this statement: As Puppet matures, it expected that the file element will be used less and less to manage content, and instead native elements will be used to do so. Can someone please explain what this means, what the plan is, and what type of concept you are

Memory Usage with openSSH 4.0
I have friends running sshd on their emebedded ppc linux systems at two universities. Normally sshd takes about 3M of memory and they have about 16M freemem showed in /proc/meminfo. But occationally (every 1 or 2 weeks) they see free memory goes down really fast and they lose 10M in 1 minute. If they disable sshd by blocking the port access, this does not happen any more. The device is not behind

GSSAPI Key Exchange
Now that RFC 4462 has been published, I was wondering if there would be any interest in looking again at integrating the key exchange portions of my GSSAPI patch into the OpenSSH tree? As I've mentioned before, key exchange has significant benefits for large sites as it allows them to use Kerberos to authenticate ssh hosts, and removes the need to maintain and distribute ssh known_hosts

What is the REAL version of Xen in 5.1?
I have a 5.1 system with Xen installed. The package says 3.0.3, but an 'xm info' shows 3.1. So what is it? Is it 3.0.3 patched to 3.1 or is it 3.1 packaged as 3.0.3? And if it's the former, does anybody have any idea why upstream wouldn't just deploy 3.1 (now 3.1.2) which is more stable? -Ross ______________________________________________________________________ This e-mail,

However, when I try to install puppet, I get: - Could not load openssl; cannot install Is this due to the way I installed ruby or something else? Thanks, Clif

I could swear that this was working just last week, but now when I run the Adobe Acrobat reader, it hangs. If I run it "directly" (/usr/bin/acroread) with -DEBUG as the first argument, I get an infinite loop of: expr: syntax error I tried removing and reinstalling it, but no change. Hi, I am surprised how some features are missing from CentOS 5. So far, I found missing: 1) GNOME Session does not prompt for saving on log out. 2) There isn't a "Run" option in the GNOME menus for running programs.
