[LLVMdev] Folding nodes with more than one use during ISel
I'm working on a backend for the Freescale CPU12 family as a hobby project and I'm having difficulty getting the instruction selection pass to handle the indirect indexed addressing modes. I'd really appreciate advice on how best to handle them. The following llvm instructions: %arrayidx = getelementptr inbounds i8** %p, i16 3 %0 =...

[PATCH] Fix QEMU HVM hotplug race in QEMU traditional (Xen 4.1, Xen 4.2, and Xen 4.3) (v1).
Hey Ian and Stefano, Please see this thread: http://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-devel/2013-05/msg01053.html for the debug patches and some of the discussion. These three patches fix an race that has been in QEMU traditional for a long time. The guts of the bug is that if you have a guest with these options: vcpus=1 maxvcpus=32 and do ''xl vcpu-set <guest> 32'' the

thread taskq / unp_gc() using 100% cpu and stalling unix socket IPC
...ven time, it's a failover setup. From time to time the active one gets in a state in which the 'thread taskq' thread uses up 100% of one cpu on its own, like here: ---- PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE C TIME WCPU COMMAND 0 root 8 0 0K 3968K CPU12 12 9:49 100.00% kernel{thread taskq} ---- Most of the userland processes get stalled and if the sitation is not resolved, their network services stop responding alltogether after some time. This affects relayd and dovecot for sure, but not sshd. When processes are slow, they often block in sta...

packet loss on ixgbe using vlans and ipv6
Hi, I have a Dell T710 with 4 X 10G ethernet interfaces (2 X Dual port Intel 82599 cards). It is running FreeBSD RELENG_8 last updated on July 13. What I see is packet loss (0 - 40%) on IPv6 packets in vlans, when the machine is not the originator of the packets. Let me try to describe a little more. If a neigbouring machine ping6 it, there will be packet loss. If it act as a router for ipv6,

[PATCH] qemu-traditional - ACPI vCPU hotplug fixes for Xen 4.3 (v2).
Please see the three patches that fix the ACPI AML and QEMU race. They have been Ack-ed by both George (for inclusion in Xen 4.3) and by Stefano. They should be candidates for back-port in older hypervisors. Konrad Rzeszutek Wilk (3): piix4acpi, xen, vcpu hotplug: Split the notification from the changes. piix4acpi, xen: Clarify that the qemu_set_irq calls just do an IRQ pulse.

Experimental 6502 backend; memory operand folding problem
Greetings, LLVM devs, For the past few weeks, I have been putting together a 6502 backend for LLVM. The 6502 and its derivatives, of course, have powered countless microcomputers, game consoles and arcade machines over the past 40 years. The backend is just an experimental hobby project right now. The code is available here: <https://github.com/beholdnec/llvm-m6502>. This branch introduces

[LLVMdev] Instructions on a target with no general purpose registers
I've mentioned my sneaky plans to target the MOS6502 here before. The big issue I think is that a lot of instructions don't really have a choice for output register. It all just goes into the accumulator, X index, or Y index based on the specific instruction. So, my question is, when I'm defining my ins, outs and registers for these instructions, is it going to be a problem that
