Dry Copper Pair
Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to get a dry copper pair (also known as an alarm
line) from Verizon for less than $20/end? I know we have been able to get
them, but they come out to $40/month for a circuit.. and there's no
dial-tone over it!!!!

OT: VoIP over bonded link
...* users to a seperate building on our
campus in the same subnet. Ordinarily, I'd just run a gigabit cat6 cable to
another switch if it doesn't violate the 100 metre rule, but this building
is several hundred metres away from my backbone. My only option for cabling
to the remote building is copper. My plan is to provision them with a Linux
bridge with 4 NIC's: 1 gigabit to the backbone, and three bonded together as
a single interface (90 mbit aggregate), then plugged into this dealie:

LDAP users issue
Hi Team,
I have enabled LDAP authentication with webmail client and it works
successfully. But I found an error with LDAP user's mail. Email is not
loaded when I log with an LDAP user. Login phase is successful and mail box
is the issue. I created a mail user without including LDAP and that user
works fine.
Issue comes only with LDAP users.

T.38 ITSP?
Has anyone found an ITSP that will relay T.38 fax to an asterisk 1.6.x
instance AND do it reliably? If so, I can think of a number of locations
with copper loops that could be scrapped. I'm actually quite surprised at
what an underwhelming number of ITSP's that say they support T.38 (zero so
far among my normal go-to companies).
For locations that just want to be able to send (because they use
fax-to-email for receive), It should be trivi...

OT: DSL without voice
A lot of people are going for the "VOIP only" approach, but SBC says you
have to have an active analog voice circuit before they will sell you DSL.
Does anybody know which DSL providers will sell you DSL without making you
pay for a voice circuit?
Thanks in advance,

PCI Mapping of e1000 Dual-Port Adapter to DomU
Hello,
I´m trying to map one network interface of a Dual-Port e1000 Server
Adapter
to a DomU (firewall). In Dom0 the adaper is seen with lspci as:
06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 631xESB/632xESB DPT LAN
Controller Copper (rev 01)
06:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 631xESB/632xESB DPT LAN
Controller Copper (rev 01)
My goal is to map only 06:00.1 to DomU so I used this script before the
startup of xendomains:
#!/bin/bash
/sbin/modprobe pciback
SLOT=0000:06:00.1
# Unbind a PCI network card from its netwo...
