[PATCH] Support for ASEM UPS on Linux/i2c
...4/builds/20/steps/configure/logs/config.log Seems that on x64 architectures NULL is not #defined in <stddef.h> the attached patch #includes <stdio.h> in AC_CHECK_DECLS. Tested on an ubuntu 12.10 x64, seems to solve the issue. -- Giuseppe Corbelli WASP Software Engineer, Copan Italia S.p.A Phone: +390303666318 Fax: +390302659932 E-mail: giuseppe.corbelli at copanitalia.com -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Giuseppe, One more question about your driver: should we put a recommendation for the "port" name in the man page? Looking at the code, it seems like it should be "/dev/i2c-0" or similar. Thanks, -- Charles Lepple clepple at gmail

Re: opensource backup software suggestions please -- VTL option ...
...raries (VTLs) are the ultimate in flexiblity. Although there are many solutions, nearly all of them are the Red Hat Linux 7.3 + FalconStor Software combination. Although EMC, IBM and others have traditionally use standard disk arrays as they use for other solutions (with the software slapped on), Copan Systems' hardware solution is designed specifically for VTL and VTL-only. The density, power/thermal, cost and other considerations are rather interesting. -- Bryan J. Smith mailto:b.j.smith at ieee.org

ATA-over-Ethernet v's iSCSI
Nick, What are you planning on running over the shared connection? Database, eMail, File Shares? How many users? How much data? What is your I/O profile? I've worked with 'enterprise' storage most of my career either as a consumer, adviser or provider - can't comment on AoE other than to suggest you look at what are the business & technical goals, how they solve it and what

Here is what I am looking at and concerned about. Situation: My current storage needs are approximately 1.5 TB annually. This will increase to about 3.5 TB annually over the next 5 years (rough est.). This box
