Dialing a # in phone number?
...that
asterisk is simply ignoring the # character. The docs on the Dial
command dont mention any special characters. I'd say someone must have
come up against this before for other services too that require * or #
characters.
Any help would be great!
Thanks as always,

Fritz, mISDN, Help
A plea to all!
Has anyone had any success with two or more avm fritz pci cards with either
misdn, chan_misdn, or chan_capi, and any version of linux 2.6.x?
I have managed to get misdn to load under 2.6.13 and detect two cards using
misdn-capi and chan-capi (using capiinfo and capi info under asterisk) - but
the second card/controller doesn't answer or dial calls.
But if I try misdn

it could have been making outbound connections on its own.
Does anyone know how to reset the phone back to an operating state (is
it even possible??)
Thanks,

Its a bit weird because I have not changed the configuration of asterisk

Does anyone know why this is happening?
thanks,

the button the speakerphone led goes on but the phone does nothing else

IAX2 Channels & Bandwidth
...,IAX2/xx@voipjet/011${EXTEN:2}
; Make Call - (In Ireland we use 00 as the International prefix but US
people (and VOIPJET) like 011 as the international dial prefix)
I'd be very keen to hear from anyone who has knowledge on using IAX2 to
route multiple outgoing calls.
Thanks very much,
Derek Conniffe
PS I notice that if three international calls are being made and I run "iax2
show channels" at the CLI prompt I can see three IAX2 channels being shown:
Channel Peer Username ID (Lo/Rem) Seq (Tx/Rx)
Lag Jitter JitBuf Format
IAX2/voipjet/1 216....

STUN vs NAT Helper
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend one over the other. I'm mostly
interested in running open source solutions, so I would prefer if
your recommendations are within the open source arena.
Basically, I contemplated the idea of using SER as a NAT Helper and
possibly as a SIP server for a portion of our user base. We prefer to
have Asterisk in the mix because of the additional

PRI & CPU Usage
...e in an asterisk
box - it is like a codec conversion or does a PRI channel have a generic
codec itself? I am wondering what the CPU requirements are to, for example,
handle all 120 channels on a TE405p and then trunk all the conversations
elsewhere over an IAX2 link.
Thanks for any advice,

Cisco 7940, Voicemail & DTMF
Would anyone know why Voicemail in * doesn't get the DTML keypresses
from my Cisco 7940 running SIP (POS3-07-3-00) ? Is it something to do
with "dtmf_avt_payload: 101" setting in SIPDefault.cnf in the tftp server?

ZyXEL Prestige 2000W - cant make a call?
...to make a call the phone makes some sound (like "bup bup bup bup bup
bup beep beep") and then I just hear hissing background noise (not too
loud - like comfort noise).
I upgraded to the latest firmware on the phone - Wj.00.10
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks,

Because the problem is with two IAX softphones I'm not sure whether its
a configuration problem with the asterisk server or, by change, the same
bug with both softphones.
Has anyone else come up against this?
Thanks,

Asterisk 1.2.4 (behind NAT) IAX registration "Refresh 0" problem

I do have other * servers (older than 1.2.4) that are registered just

This problem wasn't here in asterisk 1.0.X and although I upgraded to
