F-Secure SSH / OpenSSH pubkey compatibilty?
I am trying to use F-Secure SSH on a RH7.1 machine to connect using any pubkey method to an OpenSSH on a Debian 'woody' stable server (with current Debian security patches). Interactive password authentication works. But I have been unable to get any of the "passwordless" pubkey methods to work. I am trying to automate a copy where only ssh is allowed through the firewalls.

Vista compatibilty in SIP softphones
Greetings list, I've noticed over the last couple of weeks that, unsurprisingly, nearly every new PC seems to be coming with Vista these days. I expect it'll only be a matter of time for all of us before clients start needing Vista-compatible softphones (if it's not already happened). So, what's the story with Vista compatibility amongst the softphones currently out there?

When will xen-compatibilty be standard in Linux kernels?
Hi Folks, I thought I''d heard several months back that Xen compatibility patches were going to be rolled into the mainstream linux kernel source trees, so that in future Xen would be just another architecture one could select under make config -- not requiring a special, patched kernel. But this doesn''t seem to be the case yet. Did I misunderstand what the plans were, or is it

Upgrading subversion
...version-1.1.x, but I prefer to use the version delivered by up2date, of course. 1) What do you suggest? If I try to install subversion-1.4.2 from source it asks for apr and apr-util version 0.9.7 or above but up2date has apr and apr-util version 0.9.4 2) If I upgrade it via RPM could I have some compatibilty breaked? Thanks, Ronan

Moving CPP hackery
...eo and JonY, I've started moving compiler specific CPP hacker into a separate file at include/share/compat.h. Eventually I hope to be able to move all of the require CPP hackery for $random_compiler into this file and have any C file which needs any compiler specific tweak to include this new compatibilty header. My belief is that one this CPP hackery is all in one place, it will be far easier to modify and keep correct. So, I would be very greatful if David Yeo and JonY could test current git HEAD and provide a patch if anything breaks. I will hold off on any further hacking for a couple of days...

scan file error (PR#3738)
...en able to load the files on another computer before including an XP machine. I have also tried to load a different set of gpr files, that also worked on an earlier version, but still get the same error message. Using an earlier version of R (1.3.1)I did not have these problems. Does anyone know of compatibilty issues between R 1.7.1 and Windows XP? Thanks, Bart

Winbindd on FreeBSD 4.10 Help
All, First off I would like to say the book "The Official Samba-3 HowTO and Reference Guide" is awesome I purchased it off Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Ok now on to my problem. [LLVMdev] [RFC] Exhaustive bitcode compatibility tests for IR features
...not totally against it. No, the idea is that in test/Features/compatibility-3.6.ll we will have ; The file test/Features/Inputs/compatibility-3.6.bc was created by passing this file to llvm-as-3.6. and the test itself would just use llvm-dis and FileCheck, not llvm-as. In other words, the file compatibilty-X.Y.ll contains text that can be assembled by llvm-as from the X.Y release, not current trunk. We would keep the text mostly for documentation and if someone ever wants to verify that Inputs/compatibility-X.Y.bc is correct. Cheers, Rafael

smbd - wide links / possible buffer failure??
...eckin smbd/vfs.c. In this function is a pattern compare to guarantee that a symbolic link is not ouside a share. So far - so good. But in my opinion it would be better to check if the physical location and not the logical path of the link to the destination. In case that you have some necessary compatibilty links on the system, samba is not able to follow that link. And I think (hopefully right) that it is also safe to check the physical way - unstead the link path. I've got I a alternative to solve this behavior, if the intention is not the right one - please ignore this request, if so fill f...

...) either. The 'desktop' system (if you could have called it that) that I learned on was DEC's 'DecWindows' system on a VAXStation 2000 (under VMS). This was basically a rebranded Motif system with MWM and used DEC's *simple* session manager. I presently use FVWM in MWM compatibilty mode and a home written session manager written in Tcl/Tk. I use FVWM's icon box module to manage the run-time icons for running applications. I don't have *any* desktop icons and don't (won't) use a graphical file manager. The session manager has a simple customizable menu a...

Status of OpenSSL 1.1 support - Thoughts
...1.1 while at the same time some supported LTS distributions still rely on older OpenSSL versions. So for a period of time you'll have to be compatible with both, whether you like it or not. The question is then: is it up to you to be compatible with both, or is it up to distributors to provide compatibilty? When more and more softwares propose their own shim it makes the later less and less understandable. > Yours, > Ingo BR, -- Emmanuel Deloget

[Bug 158] New: ssh-add trips up due to missing key types
...intentional act that should not result in a non-zero exit (this is of any concern to me because I have scripts for our users that depend on a zero exit of ssh-add when they run it in order to continue, and I can't tell what other people may have done which will break, and I just think backwards compatibilty is a good thing when it is easy). I have a patch which I will attach. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
