Nut upsuser - Dec 2005 - I would have to buy a new UPS for my desktop.

I would have to buy a new UPS that have to function for a simple desktop PC. I
would the best about NUT compatibilty. The class of UPS must be 600-800 VA.
What do you recommend me?

I'd recommend the MGE range, for 2 reasons:

1) They support the development of NUT :-)
2) I'm more than happy with the one I bought

I also have a Belkin unit, but the MGE has proven a much better purchase.

It appears to be a rebranding of the Powercomm "Black Knight" line.

The Powercomm drivers work just fine.  YMMV.

Another good quality manufacturer is APC, for example the APC Back UPS
models are appropriate for desktop use. Stay away from Belkin, I have
found both their hardware and their firmware to be unstable and buggy.
