...outcast plugin to broadcast to the shoutcast server. Q1) Is ICECAST the program I need to send my signal to another sever... or is it IceS that i'm looking for? Q2) If the answer to Q1 is "IceS", can I send my broadcast to a nullsoft server. I using icecast as a server is supposedly compatibile with winamp/shoutcast clients sending their signal to it... but is the reverse true? Can the shoutcast SERVER take a signal from an icecast client? ->Brian Lorraine brian@parliamentdesign.com VB/perl programmer

...ly nothing about it. If you just want simple line input, you might try darkice (darkice.sourceforge.net) but I'm not sure if it compiles under osx. > Q2) If the answer to Q1 is "IceS", can I send my broadcast to a > nullsoft server. nfsv4 in centos?
Greetings Some time ago I briefly played with NFS. More recently with Samba. What I am wondering is if NFSv4 is already integrated into Centos 4 from upstream. Reference: http://www.linuxplanet.com/linuxplanet/reviews/6331/1/ if not, is there a timeline? Centos 5 ? and... is or can NFS be a compatible yet better replacement for Samba? thanks - rh -- Robert - Abba Communications

Voice Modem Support?
I'm still playing with * at the moment. Just trying to figure out how much it can do. Anyway, it looks like * supports voice modems. So here come the obvious questions... How well does * support vmodems? How do I set * to use my vmodem for incoming calls? Has anyone gotten it to work? Thanx, Mike Diehl.

Nortel/Bell Canada Vista-350 ADSI
Hi Everyone, I've been in contact with a few members off list about this, and I still can't figure out what to do (aside from buying a more current ADSI compatibile screenphone). The problem is that I have a Locked Nortel Vista-350 phone and I cannot update the ADSI scripts. I have used the reset time/date trick, and then was able to partially upload the ADSI information to the phone, but it still is not complete, and tells me that it's conflicting wi...

Configuration file format changes
After tomorrow's 0.99.8 release I think it's time for a new config file format. It could be made backwards compatibile with the old format, but there would be new tree-like categories. I was thinking something like this: # global settings protocols = imap # "foo.server.org" is just descriptive name # settings inside server { .. } will override global ones. # groups (namespace, login settings, auth sett...

file descriptor leak?
We are having problems with the latest Dovecot 1.0 (RC15) regarding file descriptors > 255 being handed off to fdopen() via crypt() via PAM(?). This is a problem on Solaris 10 due to the fact that the stdio library does not support file descriptors > 255 (in order to remain binary-compatibile with older binaries). Here are the messages we run into if we get too many (~250?) concurrent IMAP/POP sessions: Jan 3 13:03:14 hostname dovecot-auth[5799]: crypt: fdopen(265) failed: Too many open files Jan 3 13:03:14 hostname dovecot-auth[5799]: crypt: fdopen(265) failed: Too many open files...

HPUX 11.00 & CIFS/9000 Server - Domain authentication problem
Hi, I have been using Samba and CIFS/9000 happily with security=user for some time now, for simple read-only filesharing. Three days ago I decided to get a bit more clever.... I now have a test server and I'm trying to get it to work against our Win2K PDC (UKNT19), which is running Active Directory in native mode for our Windows domain UKNT001. The UNIX server (uk209) is HPUX 11.00 and the

Question about plans for the forge.
Currently and going forward people will be running multiple versions of puppet. What are the plans for puppet compatibility with Modules? Thinking we may want to be able to specify what version of Puppet is running and ask for the compatible module. (Which may be the same). Thanks, Brian -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users"
