Cisco 7970 SIP upgrade issues
...was wondering if anyone can help? First problem is the phone is running version Load IDJar70.2-5-47-17.sbn Boot Load ID7970_64054100.bin Version5.0(0.6S) So I did read that you couldn't simply put the latest SIP image on such an old phone and a newer firmware version should be used. I got cmterm-7970_7971-sccp.7-0-2SR1 However I can't figure out how to update the firmware without a Callmanager. Can anyone enlighten me? If I do that I can then put the latest SIP image on I think Best Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.d...

instructions to get .bin firmware for 7920
...out the following files and drop them somewhere: data1.hdr data1.cab data2.cab Download i6comp. If you search on google, it's all over the place. From the command line, run: i6comp e -r data1.cab This reassembles the CAB's and unpacks all of the files out of it. You'll need the cmterm-xxxxxxxx.bin and the OS7920.TXT file. Drop these on your tftp server. The phone won't even download the configs unless these 2 files exist. ~jay

Cisco CallManager Image for 7940/7960
Does anyone have the .bin file(s) to convert a Cisco 7940/7960 back to the CallManager image? I want to start playing around with the chan_skinny addition, but it seems the .exe's from cisco want to open a connection to a SQL server or CallManager (which I don't have).
