Hello, iam running wine within ubuntu 9.10. Some games are using the circumflex key which cannot be accessed within wine. how can i resolve this?

...I use wine (release 20010824) for Lotus Notes R5 and sometimes Winzip. It works fine with some customizations and in desktop mode instead of managed window mode. My problem is that I am French and I cannot use dead keys which is very annoying with french language.
