[Trivia question] What engine is it on DTrace T-shirt ?
Hi, This is not a DTrace technical question (so, please don''t flame me for it) :) This is regarding the DTrace (un)conference TShirt. I am curious to know what engine is it. Could not figure it out. How to edit many-to-many -- rhtml setup?
I''ve got two tables: "colors" has a color and id column and rows "red", "green", blue". "cars" has maker and id columns and rows for "ford", "chevy", "dodge". I''ve got a 3rd table, inventory. It''s got columns for car_id, color_id and qty. So I''d like to display a table on screen that

'apply' with additional class variable
Dear R gurus, I'm trying to solve what I assume is a fairly simple problem, but I'm having trouble finding the proper approach. I have a matrix where each column is some object (e.g. a car) and each row is a numeric measurement of a feature of said object (e.g. horse power, top speed, etc.). Let's also suppose that I know what make the car is (e.g. toyota, ford, etc.), stored in a

Listmates, I have a perplexing problem. I brought an old Toshiba laptop back from the lakehouse to update it, etc. I also brought the server back to. On out local network, I can see all the boxes in the network from the laptop (hostname: dcrlaptop), but I can only connect to it's normal server (hostname: lakehouse). dcrlaptop is running Win98 and the host I am trying to connect to is

MTU was: Re: my icecast problem
It is going to depend on a number of factors. Linux sets (along with a few other OS's I'm sure) its MTU to 1500. The problem is, if you set it longer then it will most likely be frag'd by your router. If that router does not, then another will. I think MTU for ppp interfaces are smaller. Likewise, if your backbone is FDDI, it has a large frame (somewhere in the 8000 range I

A few Newbie Questions
You're going to need root access. Presumably you have it if you have control over icecast. You could do a simple adduser. Then use your favorite editor and open up the /etc/passwd file (again as root). You'll need to read up on what each of the fields are, but in short you'll want to * the password field for that new user. You'll also want to change the shell to /bin/false.

my icecast problem
And just what exactly is an optimized sized packet? I need numbers in bytes. I want control over it for a very specific reason. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sean /The RIMBoy/" <sean@rimboy.com> To: <icecast@xiph.org> Sent: Wednesday, February 28, 2001 8:31 AM Subject: Re: [icecast] my icecast problem > On Wed, 28 Feb 2001, Kelly Lee Myers wrote: >

User Agent string
I'll admit I've not poked around the icecast source, but seeing as I came across this issue on another server (and subsequently on clients): How many servers depend on the User Agent field sent by a client? In looking thru the Streamripper source and the Litestream source, It appears that many servers depend on that field. I realize a lot of this has to do with the fact that it then

OGG encoder, was: Re: [thomas@arkena.com: [vorbis] mp3pro and the mp3 streaming license]
Red alert people. When ogg starts to make money for someone (whoever if anyone at all,) then the boys in the legal team at Fraunhofer will throw something at it in the form of "hey, you are stepping on our IP" and then sue. Until then, what is the point. So.... Until then, this argument is pointless. Lithium On Sat, 09 June 2001, Sean /The RIMBoy/ wrote: > > On Sat, 9 Jun
